Hi Take da bag, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born into a life that would teach me strength at an early age. When I was just two years old, I moved to California with my mother. Growing up in Oakland, California, shaped me in ways that I will never forget.
Oakland was home, but life in the streets was not always easy. As I grew up, I witnessed a lot of gang activity and drug violence. The streets could be dangerous, and I saw things that many children should never have to see. Those experiences taught me how quickly life could change and how important it was to stay strong and aware of my surroundings.
During the summers, I often traveled to Louisiana to visit my father and my family. Those visits gave me a different side of life and helped me stay connected to my roots. I was able to spend time with my father and family, creating memories and learning about where my family came from.
Living between the experiences of Oakland and my summer visits to Louisiana gave me two different perspectives on life. Oakland taught me how to survive and stay strong in difficult situations, while Louisiana gave me family connections and memories that remain an important part of who I am.
Growing up surrounded by violence, gangs, and drugs was not easy, but those experiences became part of my journey. They helped shape the person I became. My story is about more than the struggles I witnessed—it is about survival, family, growth, and continuing to move forward no matter what life puts in front of me.
This is my story, and this is only the beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality I feel is most important to my success is determination. No matter what challenges or obstacles I face, I believe in staying focused, working hard, and never giving up. Determination gives me the strength to keep moving forward, learn from my mistakes, and continue building my future.
