Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Amazin Tate-Granillo.
Hi Angela Amazin , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is **Angela “Amazin” Granillo**, and my story has been one of faith, evolution, entrepreneurship, caregiving, and purpose.
I was born and raised in **New Orleans, Louisiana**, and later relocated to **Atlanta, Georgia**, to pursue my passion and career in the beauty industry. For more than **35 years**, I worked as a professional hairstylist and entrepreneur, eventually owning and operating two successful salons. That chapter of my life taught me so much about business, customer service, leadership, building relationships, and helping people feel confident from the inside out.
After retiring from the hair industry, I realized that my purpose was continuing to evolve. I became a **Certified Life Coach**, author, business consultant, and caregiver coach. But caregiving is more than a profession for me—it is personal. I have spent years advocating for and caring for my adult son with special needs, who recently accomplished an incredible milestone by graduating from college with his **bachelor’s degree in English**. That journey helped me understand firsthand the sacrifices, strength, faith, patience, and support that caregivers and families need.
Today, I am the proud mother of **three adult children**, grandmother of **two beautiful granddaughters**, and wife to an amazing husband who has become an important part of my journey, my purpose, and my testimony.
I am also the founder of **Amazing Prayer Warriors 1000 Global International Outreach Ministry**, where we connect, serve, and partner with ministries and communities around the world. Most recently, I stepped into another chapter of entrepreneurship as the owner and founder of **Amazing Caregiver Circles and Home Health Care Services**, created from my heart for caregiving and my desire to make sure families receive compassionate, dependable, and dignified care. Let me not forget that I am the executive director for nonprofit organization called DDD2C
When I look back, I realize that none of my experiences were wasted. From standing behind the salon chair, to coaching others, writing, serving families, advocating for my son, building businesses, and serving through ministry—**every chapter was preparing me for the work I am called to do today**.
So, allow me to reintroduce myself: **I am Angela “Amazin” Granillo—a woman of faith, a wife, mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, author, coach, caregiver advocate, ministry founder, and Kingdom builder. And I believe I am still becoming everything God created me to be.**
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has definitely **not been a smooth road**, but I can truly say that I wouldn’t change the journey because every part of it has helped shape the woman I am today.
Life comes with ups and downs. I have experienced challenges personally, professionally, financially, and even through different seasons of transition. But along the way, I have also experienced incredible blessings. God has allowed me to sit at tables I never imagined I would be invited to and walk into rooms that, at one time, I didn’t believe I was qualified to enter. I had to develop the courage and faith to believe that **I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.**
One of my greatest challenges has been **reinventing myself**. After more than 35 years as a hairstylist and salon owner, I retired from an industry that had become a major part of my identity. Starting over meant discovering who Angela was outside of the salon and having the courage to build again in completely different industries.
Then life took me from Atlanta to **Houston, Texas**, where I originally relocated to help my son attend college. I never imagined that move would lead to an entirely new chapter of my life. I fell in love, got married, and found myself practically starting over again—new city, new relationships, new businesses, and a new vision for my future.
Social media has also changed the way we do business. It helped me stay visible and relevant, but I eventually realized that being visible wasn’t enough—I wanted what I was building to be **authentic to who I had become**. That realization sent me back to the drawing board.
Today, I am continuing to reinvent myself through caregiving, coaching, ministry, health and wellness as a **Farmasi affiliate**, consulting and helping aspiring authors bring their stories to life, and supporting my husband with his business, **Go Recycle**, where we help people turn unwanted running or non-running vehicles into cash.
So, has the road been smooth? Absolutely not. But I have learned that sometimes what we call a failure is really evidence that we had the courage to try.
**Every failure can become part of your success story because it means you showed up, took the chance, learned the lesson, and kept going.**
For me, the journey has never been about having a perfect road. It has been about having enough faith to keep moving when the road changes.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is difficult to place into just one box because my life and career have always centered around one thing: **helping people transform.**
Today, I am a **Certified Life Coach, Visionary Specialist, business consultant, author, caregiver coach and advocate, ministry founder, entrepreneur, and the founder of Amazing Caregiver Circles and Home Health Care Services.** I also work in health and wellness and continue helping individuals discover new opportunities, build businesses, tell their stories, and create lifestyle changes that can impact their families for generations.
If there is one thing I specialize in, it is helping people recognize that **where they are today does not have to be where their story ends.**
My vision is to become **one of the leading coaches in the country for helping people turn their visions, goals, and dreams into reality—with a clear plan of action to get there.** I don’t want people to simply feel inspired for the moment. I want them to leave with clarity, strategy, accountability, and practical steps they can actually implement.
My approach is centered around the whole person because I believe true success is bigger than business or money alone. I want to help people create a healthier lifestyle on multiple levels—**personally, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, and professionally.** When one area of our lives is neglected, it can affect everything else. My goal is to help people create alignment so they can grow into the strongest and healthiest version of themselves.
I understand reinvention because I have lived it.
After more than 35 years in the beauty industry as a hairstylist and salon owner, I had to learn how to take everything I knew about serving people, building relationships, entrepreneurship, leadership, and transformation and apply it to an entirely new season of my life.
I am probably best known as the **“Caregiver Whisperer.”** Caregiving is very personal to me. I have been a caregiver, advocate, mother, coach, and support system, especially through raising and advocating for my adult son with special needs. Today, he is a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in English. That journey taught me things no certification or textbook ever could.
That lived experience is now part of the foundation of **Amazing Caregiver Circles and Home Health Care Services**, where my goal is not simply to provide a service. I want families to feel seen, supported, informed, respected, and confident that their loved one is being treated with dignity.
Faith and service are also a major part of my work. Through **Amazing Prayer Warriors 1000 Global International Outreach Ministry**, my family and I believe ministry should go beyond words. We believe in putting our hands to the work—serving families, supporting communities, partnering with others, and making an impact wherever God gives us an opportunity to do so.
What am I most proud of?
I am proud of the businesses I have built, the certifications I have earned, the books and projects I have created, and the rooms God has allowed me to enter—but my greatest accomplishments aren’t hanging on a wall.
I am most proud of **my family, the people I have been able to serve, and the fact that I kept reinventing myself instead of allowing one chapter of my life to define the entire story.**
What sets me apart is that **I don’t coach, teach, serve, or build from theory alone—I build from lived experience.**
I’ve been the entrepreneur.
I’ve been the caregiver.
I’ve been the mother fighting for her child.
I’ve been the woman starting over.
I’ve experienced career changes, relocation, financial challenges, family responsibilities, business transitions, successes, disappointments, and seasons where I had to completely reinvent myself.
So when I tell someone, **“I can, I will, I must,”** it isn’t simply a motivational statement.
It’s something I’ve had to live.
At this stage of my life, my mission is bigger than building another business. **I want to build people.** I want to help people take what they can see in their minds and hearts and turn it into something they can actually live.
My assignment is to take everything I have learned through business, caregiving, family, faith, failures, victories, and starting over—and use it to help someone else realize that they can still dream, still build, still heal, still create wealth, still discover purpose, and still become everything God created them to be.
**I don’t just want to motivate people to dream—I want to help them create the plan that turns the dream into reality.**
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is actually one that still makes me laugh today because it shows just how big my imagination was as a little girl.
I remember meeting my great-aunt Ruby, my grandmother’s sister, who had come to visit from Los Angeles. She was beautiful, had the prettiest eyes, carried herself with such elegance, and worked at Saks Fifth Avenue. After meeting her, something in my young imagination became convinced that I was somehow living in the wrong state—and possibly even with the wrong family!
I had always dreamed about living somewhere outside of New Orleans, so when my mother told me we were taking a Greyhound bus to Chicago to visit her oldest sister, I remember thinking, **“This is it! My mother is finally taking me to my real family.”**
Of course, I eventually discovered that the family I had was, in fact, my real family. You don’t get to choose the family you are born into, but looking back, I believe God knew exactly where He was placing me.
Years later, I saw Aunt Ruby again and jokingly asked her, **“Tell me the truth. I’m in the wrong family, right?”** She laughed and told me, “No, I used to say the same thing!”
We laughed together, and I have never forgotten that moment.
What makes that memory so special to me today is realizing that even as a little girl, **I was already imagining a life beyond what I could see around me.** I was dreaming about different cities, different possibilities, and a bigger world before I even understood what dreaming and vision really meant.
Maybe that little girl wasn’t in the wrong family after all—**maybe she was simply born with a vision that was bigger than her surroundings.**
