Meet Andrea Earp in Katy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Earp.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started making jewelry when I was seven years old. I made friendship bracelets and would give them away for free to all my classmates, friends and teachers. When I would run out of supplies, I would sell my bracelets for $1.00 to buy more embroidery and beads for my bracelets. Throughout my grade school years, I continued with designing different styles and creating new types of jewelry including necklaces, earrings, watches, rings and much more.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Being a young entrepreneur has come with many positives and negatives. I have learned from trial and error to improve on many factors in regards to my business and exposure to the public eye. Since the beginning of Andrea Earp, I have tried creating a barrier-free business to reach a larger region for my business and customers.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Andrea Earp story. Tell us more about the business.
My business is made up of custom jewelry which represents someone and everyone I have encountered or met throughout my life. That is why everything I create is made to be so unique, and different. Growing up, with a Venezuelan cultured family I learned how to make very traditional and beachy trendy jewelry. All my jewelry has a twist of culture from both the United States and Venezuela.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would say luck has not played a factor in my life or business. My strong work ethic, motivation and focus have helped me become a young entrepreneur and go forth in creating something vaster. I believe working hard and staying dedicated is what opens doors and creates more opportunities. Another factor that has helped me to succeed is my exposure to different cultures and traditions. My global mentality has helped to open my mind and expand my creativity.
