Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Raudez.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always had a passion for sports and fitness from childhood until now. I found that sports and working out in general was always a positive outlet for me from the everyday stresses of life and 8 years ago I decided to quit my job and invest 100% into my business. Now the total time of having my business on the side and as a full-fledged entrepreneur has been 15 years and I am blessed to work daily for myself from 5am until sometimes 9pm but it’s for one of my truest passions in life. Helping people achieve their maximum mental and physical well-being is something that I have combined with using my entrepreneur experience as well as my college education in Psychology.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all, it has been a roller coaster from an emotional, physical, spiritual and financial aspect. There are weeks and months where you go from making zero money to making $12k in a month, but I guess those uncertainties are what sometimes drive entrepreneurs. When you are passionate about what you are doing, you go all in and trust in your craft to continue to grow over time. I’ve found out that if you invest in the right people, then those people will help you build your business. It’s all about relationships.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Edward Raudez Method – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in Personal Training, Triathlon Coaching, Marathon Coaching, Nutrition and Swim/Run Analysis. I have had clients who are rehabbing from injuries, weight loss clients, triathletes, marathoners, and personal training clients as well and even two bikini competitors. I have also done Corporate Fitness for EXOS for companies like M.D. Anderson and Shell Oil, which I plan to get back into this year.
I am most proud for the diversity of being able to train clients in all aspects of health and wellness and also stressing the mental health aspect of it. That is why I switched from being a Kinesiology major to a Psychology major because I saw that as a HUGE missing component among fitness professionals, trainers and/or coaches.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I LOVE Houston! I was born in Central America (Nicaragua) and came here at the age of 3, so you can say I am pretty much a local Houstonian by default. I’ve traveled in and out of the country but Houston is always home.
