Meet Aaron X of mightyapostolic in Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron X.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Aaron. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
What’s good, Houston! X here or better known as “mightyapostolic or mighty” to the photography community. My passion for photography all started when my mother gave me my father’s old polaroid 600 land camera. I was very intrigued with how just a click of a button the camera was able to freeze time. It was like having “superpowers”!

As I grew older photography became such an important asset to my life, it became an outlet for me to express my emotions, my thoughts, and what I wanted to say when I couldn’t find the words to express myself.

My passion only began to grow when Instagram was released, I found it fascinating that I was able to connect with others through a simple image. Just like many others, I started off with an iPhone 4s (the potato) just striving to create something new in which people could connect with.

Has it been a smooth road?
The journey is never smooth, as a creative there are moments where I’ll get what they call a “creators block” where I can’t manage to brainstorm a creative thought, and that usually leads me to get away for a bit to refresh my mind.

One of the biggest struggles is creating something that sets you apart from what everyone else is doing and that’s the scariest part, because you don’t know whether you’ll take a fat L or a fat W, but you know what they say “don’t be afraid to fail big.” I’ll rather fail at something I love than to be successful at something I hate.

I always have to remind myself not to worry about what others think of my art, because my art, is for me, and only for me, everyone else is just partakers of my journey. So, why stress about what others think if it makes me happy.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with mightyapostolic – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My business name is MightyApostolic. My style of photography varies from lifestyle, architecture, nature, dilapidated buildings, and just beautiful people in general. What sets me apart from the rest, is my desire to never stop learning, my passion to always find a way to create something new, bringing the beauty out of ashes and making a difference in this planet one photograph at the time.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about my city is that everything is super close to each other, there’s always something new to explore, everyone is super nice and willing to let you take their photo. “Houston is where it’s at such, LOL.”

What I like least about the H, is that Houstonians suck at driving, some people don’t know how to act when it starts to rain. Traffic is horrible because Houstonians like to be nosy when people get into car wrecks, but that’s none of my business (sips on some tea).
