Today we’d like to introduce you to Tajay Byrd.
Tajay is the Co-Founder and Art Curator for the All Access Art Show. He has worked with some of Houston’s best emerging visual artist helping push the message behind their artwork for all to embrace. Although Tajay has no official educational background in Art, he has made it a priority to study art appreciation by finding mentors and teaching himself. Tajay has studied under numerous master painters, attended art panels, and manages the careers of several visual artist. Tajay is a Father of two girls (11) and (5), whom are both terrific artist in their own rights.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
An Art Curator is a person responsible for maintaining and managing a museum or a collection in a library. They specialize in making sure the Art matches the energy of the room. Sometimes this is organized by theme, colors, or design depending on the occasion. Tajay has recently curated the art selection for the opening exhibit of Biorhythm: Music and Body at The Health Museum of Houston (January 2018). He is excited about the direction of his career and pursues to help give local emerging artist a platform to show their talents to the public
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
Artist be firm when pricing your work. Art is supposed to move you emotionally and since we can’t put a price on emotion, there are no limitations.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
