Meet Jermon Hamilton of Process X in Katy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jermon Hamilton.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jermon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The career path I have embarked on is one that I would have never imagined for myself. Yet, it has become rewarding beyond any means. My life has always been centered around sports. The plan of having my college paid for and going to work in the corporate world was all in arms reach when I had multiple scholarships offers to play college football going into my junior year of high school. It came to a slow halt when I tore my meniscus going into my senior year. And then tore it again in the same year in the middle of my senior year. I lost all top college offers after that. It was a rough outlook on life for me as a kid whose only hope to make a sustainable life for myself was through football. I was still able to mustard up a few mid-level college scholarships. And a few weeks into my college career, I ruptured my Achilles and tore my labrum. This put me in a dark spot. I deeply wanted to play even after the injuries, but I decided that for my overall health I had to pick something else. Coming out of the dark spot, I found an outlet in wanting to fully prepare my body for long life. I started to self-rehab, do deep research on the biomechanics of the body, as well as the need for mobility and joint integrity.

During this time, while in search of a non-commercial gym, I ran into a man by the name of John Kennedy who became a very positive influence and mentor. I have to give credit where credit is due, he has been a major key to the evolution of my career and the effectiveness of it. I have been on the health and wellness career path for 8 years now. I have developed an ample amount of knowledge on holistic wellness and co-developed a nutritional lifestyle which is called Qualitarian Lifestyle. Through this lifestyle, I have helped hundreds of males and females all ages loose weight, reduce inflammation and mucus in the body, and re-establish a properly functioning metabolic process. On the workout side, I have now trained a multitude of athletes of all ages, as well as NBA, NCAA, and NFL players. I have also prepared and coached NPC bikini/figure/physique where multiple have qualified for nationals and competed in national qualifiers oversees as well. I am now a part of Process X, a facility that offers programs to fit every individuals need weather they are a beginner looking to get into shape or a professional athlete looking to take their body and game to an unseen level.

Has it been a smooth road?
This path has not been a smooth path at all. I have had to learn to become an entrepreneur while also exhibiting the passion and love for health and fitness while also balancing out parenthood. The most challenging thing for me is the devotion of energy that I spread to not only my business but also to my son. Entrepreneurship is a business with no set hours and no set in stone pay. This field is seasonal, and the ups and downs are something hard to prepare for. With so many people wanting to be in the field and saturating the market with no passion for the development of others is something that has added to the bumps in the road. I have had great paying jobs throughout my path of being a trainer and coach in the health and wellness world, but it has left me feeling empty. I was an assistant store manager at Walmart and I have interned at Anhesuer-Busch where I became a plant supervisor. I let go of all it due to the fact that it was leaving me with an empty feeling and burning desire to do and be more.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Process X – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
At Process X, we focus on removing the boredom or stagnant energy associated with “typical” workouts, by never allowing your body to know what to expect from the following class. Process X is a versatile community that emphasizes great detail on a movement of the human body. Our beginning, primary focus, is movement. Movement stimulates a productive base for every individual to ascend to their individual optimal level. We honor the primary movers within the biomechanics of the human body (i.e. the spinal build, hips, and shoulders). Through our devout attention and care of the primary movers, our system gives a lesser load to all secondary movers (i.e. ankles, wrists, knees, and elbows) which helps produce a longer lasting internal presence. A very important fact that most are unaware of or fail to recognize, is that movement is a learned skill. We strive to help individuals to remove any handicaps that would occur by not minding deficiencies while enhancing the natural and overall look of your body.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The city of Houston is the only place I will ever call home! I’ve tried to leave but there is no other city like Houston. The diversity is 2nd to none, and with that comes an influx of tradition and opportunities. The freeness to be yourself and obtain everything your heart desires is all at your fingertips. Even with the steady construction, road delays, toll road fees. This city is full of networking and prosperity opportunities.
