Meet Shania Juzil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shania Juzil.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Born in California in Orange County, Santa Ana and raised in Katy, Texas (a suburb in Houston). My life was an adventure whether I wanted to be apart or not. Regarding music, I come from a musically inclined background. Having a grandmother who was the Queen of the Gulf Coast and becoming the first African American female artist to play left-hand guitar. Beating Elvis on the charts for some time with her hit single, “You’ll lose a good thing.” and having it re-created through Rolling Stone. to my mother’s side of the family being filled with musicians. Music has always been passed through generation to generation. For me, it is a way to express my experiences, on what I have gone through. A go-to getaway that I go to as if it’s my personal journal.

Please tell us about your art.
I am an artist. A musical artist. I am a singer, a songwriter and a storyteller. With my music, I hope to invite others into my world and to see life through my eyes. I am a lover, full of emotions, and I go through a roller coaster of feelings. The love and the heartbreak, caused by relationships, friendships and battles within myself that I have gone through have taught me so much. My experiences are what makes me relatable; I hope that my listeners will take comfort in feeling understood and be able to escape from whatever it is that they might be going through.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
In a world full of opinions and views, continue to remain to who you are. Understand and learn who you are and grow within yourself. People will vibe with those who are genuine and real more than anything. By doing this you’ll be happy and unstoppable. Sometimes, we get caught up on not doing things that make us feel self-satisfied. Life will get hard, yes, but you won’t ever regret the decision on doing you.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Everyone is able to see my work through all platforms of social media. They can support me by following, and subscribing to my pages. Via Instagram, twitter, youtube, Spotify, etc.
