Meet Angel Sanchez of Yung Angel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Sanchez.

Angel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
So I started when I was in school, off my iPhone through an app called studio booth. It was horrible, but it allowed me to get what I had in my mind out, so it worked. I saved up money over time and eventually bought my MacBook and microphone. Super cheap mic and I had no mic stand lol. it was just crazy but from where I dropped a single called “When you see me.”

The views were growing, and when it hit 1k, I thought to my self this is what I want to do. So I kept working and dropping songs, one song in particular called ” Timmy Turner” got retweeted by Young Thug and the views skyrocketed to 14k. It put so much motivation into me it was crazy. I’ve worked so hard since then and finally, I feel like this is where I want my sound and music to be at.

So I will start dropping my new music and new me starting Christmas with my single “WOP” with a music video. The drop after that, and you are hearing it here FIRST, called “Wheels Hurt” is going to change my music career. So if anybody takes anything out of this, remember to search for Wheels Hurt on all Streaming sites in the new year in February!

Has it been a smooth road?
This road hasn’t been the smoothest. I’ve dealt with fake people trying to split what me and my friends have built up. We’ve dealt with faulty promoters, co-headlined at warehouse live studio room where we sold 70+ tickets and headliner sold 13 and the payments were just outrageously horrible.

To literally make a show for someone, made it look like we were the headline and to get thrown a couple hundred for making someones thousands was just a crazy experience but a learning one. Also, like many artists I’m sure, doubts where there, thinking I wasn’t good enough or people weren’t going to like me.

All that’s over now, and I’m a new me with some amazing new music, so I just can’t wait to pour these songs on everyone!!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Yung Angel – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
So I make music to help myself and to try and help others. Whether its to make someone smile or feel happy through the vibes of my music or to help someone cope with things they’re going through that might have been something I’ve gone through.

When I’m making music I want to add character to my music its hard to explain, but I just want people to feel happy, smile at parts, get goosebumps , rage, feel accepted and I want people to listen to my music and when they’re done feel like they can just be themselves and not have to try to fit in to society.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the culture of Houston, I love the strength we have, and I love how it’s starting to open up to new age things and accepting the changes it’s coming with.

Some things I don’t like is… I don’t know really… I guess how every artist doesn’t support each other like we should. I can’t really think of anything else
