Meet Rodolfo Soules of Trinum Media in North

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodolfo Soules.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started acting since I was six. It is something that I’m really passionate about. Back in Venezuela, when I was 18, during my first semester of Journalism in College, I wanted to work in radio so bad, so I found a job in a pop station as Production Assistant. I did it for six months and learned all the processes, and later, with a friend, I presented my own show with me as a host to another radio station. The name of the show was “Pura Labia” for entertainment.

We ended up getting three hours on every day, and the show got really popular. After three years a bigger radio station contacted me and offered me the morning show at their station. Which I did for two more years and graduated from college. I wanted to experience a new and after college, I decided to move to the USA. I landed in Boston first where my aunt lives where I found a job in a call center meanwhile, auditioned for a play in Harvard and I got the part, while I was doing that I was applying to major networks for an opportunity.

After six months I found a position in Univision in Houston (Hispanic Media Monster) I started on a radio show there for one of their pop stations, also started on TV with entertainment segments, interviewing artists. I had a chance to do everything there, entertainment, sports, events, MC, Host you name it. Univision was an amazing exposure for my career, plus a place where I learned and grew so much professionally and as an individual. I was there for ten years.

A year and a half ago I created my own company Trinum Media my business partners are a filmmaker (Gisberg Bermudez) a marketing sales expert (Javier Carrillo) also Martín Flores and Ernesto Maldonado two experienced business men that believed in this project. I Host and produce the show along with my business partners. The show is currently in, and we are in conversations with major networks to air it for the Latin American market.

I also started creating content for social media since ten years ago, and I now have more than 700k followers all around the world, and even though I don’t feel I’m an influencer and to be honest, I don’t like that title. That’s the work that I’ve been doing, helping clients promote their brands in my social media.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Many struggles. You need to be willing to make sacrifices to pursue your dreams, and I know it sounds very much cliche, but most roads to success are definitely challenging.
