An Inspired Chat with Blake Meaux of Conroe

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Blake Meaux . Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Blake , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I tend to walk a wondering path, my destination in the background but taking in everything along the way. I’ve found that for me, being too focused can also mean being distracted with the outcome. I’ve got my goals in mind but I’m focusing on how to get there, not the destination.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Blake Meaux, I am an entrepreneur and among others, I own Mo’ Muscle Cars, Mutiny Machine, and HAWK in Conroe, TX.

Mo’ Muscle Cars is Houston’s Premier Restoration and Repair Facility, specializing in muscle cars, classics, hot rods, and custom fabrication. Our 16,000 sf facility houses the best talent and equipment to ensure that work is done professionally but also efficiently. We do anything from minor repairs to nut and bolt restorations to complete custom builds. We have been featured on television programs, in magazines, including the cover, and various other news and media outlets. This year we are celebrating 20 years in business!

Mutiny Machine specializes in ammunition distribution, weapons manufacturing and design. We are an 07/02 FFl, meaning we are licensed to manufacture ammunition and weapons, including machine guns for government use. Through our website, we have distributed 10’s of millions of rounds within the United States, our slogan being “Ammo Galore, Straight to your Door!” I have also obtained an import license through another company of mine, HAWK in order to import ammunition and guns into the United States, while also exporting to foreign nations.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I was 24 years old my father passed away unexpectedly. We had plans, places I thought we would go, and things I thought we would do together. The way I viewed the world changed that day, I realized how fast life goes by, how one day you’re here and the next day you’re gone, That there isn’t enough time to do everything you’ve planned and that if you want to do something, now is usually the best time.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self it would be “You’re doing a great job, continue to stay your path, follow your heart, no one knows yourself better than you!” I’ve found over the years that people will projects their wants and desires on you and that can turn into noise, distraction, and the wrong path if you let it.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
When I commit to something I usually see it through, making small progress as much as possible until that progress turns into big strides. Life is kind of the same, you build and build until one day you have something great. Currently, my shop is rebuilding my Dads 1929 Ford Roadster. We started on it over 10 years ago, and have been making progress on the side since then and now she is almost complete. The time flew though, which I wrote about earlier. Do it while you can.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I was born to build things, to create, and to use my natural talents to the best of my ability, to do business and to protect those I love. I tread my own path and if something doesn’t work out, I learn and adjust on the fly. I do this for me, so I can take care of those I love and provide a solid foundation for them. Someone telling me what to do would be counter productive to my wants and my freedom. I think my companies and their output reflect the paths I’ve chosen to take.
