An Inspired Chat with Cori Glascoe of Highway 6 and Westheimer

We recently had the chance to connect with Cori Glascoe and have shared our conversation below.

Cori, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
My most recent moment that made me feel proud was my grand opening for my salon suites. I could not stop smiling because I was overjoyed with the support of my friends, family and clients.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Cori Glascoe, and I’m the owner of Kure Salon Suites as well as a lifestyle content creator. Kure Salon Suites was born from my vision to create a space where beauty professionals could run their businesses independently while still feeling supported in a luxury, community driven environment. What makes us unique is that we’re not just offering a place to work we’re building a culture of collaboration, growth, and empowerment for entrepreneurs in the beauty industry.

On the creative side, I share my journey and passions with an engaged audience of over 30,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok. I love blending both worlds; entrepreneurship and influence. Right now, I’m focused on growing Kure Salon Suites into a hub where professionals can thrive, while also continuing to share authentic content that inspires and connects with people on a personal level.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I grew up in a tough inner-city environment, and for a long time I struggled with self-doubt. I had big dreams of success living in a better place, achieving financial stability, and creating a different future for myself but I wasn’t always confident that those goals were realistic for me.

That started to change when I went to college. The experience gave me a sense of accomplishment and opened my eyes to what was truly possible. It allowed me to see myself achieving things I once thought were out of reach, and that shift built my confidence. Since then, I’ve carried the mindset that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. That perspective continues to motivate me to work hard, stay focused, and pursue opportunities for growth.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
As a child, my relationship with God was always a source of strength for me. Whenever I felt sad or afraid, I turned to prayer or spent time in church. Prayer gave me a sense of peace that I couldn’t always explain, but it grounded me and helped me feel safe. Even in those difficult moments, I found courage I learned to face challenges directly while having faith that I would make it through. That foundation of faith and resilience has stayed with me and continues to guide how I approach challenges today.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I would say the public version of me is the real me. I believe it takes too much energy to maintain a façade, so I focus on being authentic in every space I’m in. Of course, I strive to bring the best version of myself forward one that’s positive, motivating, and encouraging but it’s still very much who I truly am. I’ve found that authenticity not only builds trust with others, but it also allows me to stay grounded and consistent.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I believe my clients would miss the safe, non-judgmental environment I create for them. Many come in feeling stressed or overwhelmed, but I make it a priority that they leave not only looking their best, but also feeling renewed, valued, and confident like their cup has been refilled. That personal connection and care is something I’ve always strived to provide consistently.
