Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Moreno.
Aaron, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m a photographer from South Houston, Texas. I took up photography once I was out of high school and have been doing it non-stop ever since. It’s given me the opportunity to meet and work with all kinds of people and to be a part of cool events!
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
More specifically, I’m a concert photographer. I go to as many concerts and music festivals as I possibly can and try to capture the raw feelings one would experience when being at a show. Music has always been such a big part of my life and I’ve always felt like concerts are a special place you can go to feel pure, unfiltered emotion. Somewhere to let loose and express yourself without judgement. That’s what I try to capture through my pictures. That feeling you get when you’re watching your favorite band/artist play your favorite song.
In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
In a time where social media presence is almost crucial to an artist’s success, I think the pressure to constantly be producing content is always on. On one hand, you don’t want to force yourself to create or create solely to have something to post on Instagram and generate traffic on your profile. At that point, it doesn’t feel genuine anymore. But at the same time, the average attention span, myself included sometimes, is pretty low these days and there’s just so much content being shoved in our faces all the time. It’s easy for an artist to get swept under the rug. There’s a balance there somewhere that I think we’re all trying to find.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
