Art & Life with Angie Guerra

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Guerra.

Angie, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My journey began with photographing rescue animals to help with adoption, several years ago. This is where ARGPhotography was born as my full passion for photography took off with each image that made a difference in the lives of the rescue animals.

A is for my first name Angie, R is for my soul-dog Rocko, and G for my last name. At least every other week, I donate my photography services to photograph rescue animals that are up for adoption and looking for forever homes. I love animals and I love photography, it has been the most amazing journey to be able to bring both passions together. My love for photography continues to grow with my experience and portfolio, which now includes people, landscapes, and more.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I create beautiful high-quality portraits with my Nikon D750. I create for the love of the art of photography. Art is limitless, photography for me has infinite possibilities. I love being able to envision a photoshoot in my head and make it come to life. I love being able to transform a RAW file into a work of art with color, detail, and depth. And when I photograph rescue animals, I love capturing the personality of the animal to show to the world why they deserve to be adopted. When I hear that their adopters fell in love with their photos, it makes everything worthwhile to me. My message is to bring more light to photography. It is sometimes an underrated form of art that I feel deserves more attention and recognition. My message is also to show people to not define someone’s success by their appearance.

My inspiration is life in general and the importance of creating memories to be remembered for a lifetime. Life is beautiful and I do my very best to enjoy every minute of it. I hope what people take away from my photography is that art comes in all shapes and sizes and life is too short to not enjoy its beauty and pleasures.

In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
I think the biggest challenge is getting exposure for local artists/new artists. Especially with being in a big city, there is so much amazing talent so it is hard to find something to set yourself apart.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
