Today we’d like to introduce you to Artisanslux Joana Rodriguez.
Artisanslux, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My story started three years ago when I decided to decorate my son’s 1st birthday! I wanted to be unique and beautiful, so I decided to do it by myself. The day after I was really impressed when I realized that the Brazilian pages (world’s most famous party decorators) repost and pictures and I started to receive requests from my guests to decorate their parties.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I love to create parties that surpass the client’s ideas. Normally clients give some inspiration photos and the result is amazing. My inspiration is when my clients tell me that everything is beyond their expectations and that they feel so special.
Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
I will tell everyone to keep going, This started as a hobby and is becoming more real everyday. I remember my first parties when I was doing the numbers at the end and realized I lose money, hahaha. I had to put money from my pocket. But if you continue with your dream, you will learn how to manage everything and by practicing and practicing, you will make it happen.
