Art & Life with Jeannette Rodriguez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeannette Rodriguez.

Jeannette, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My love for photography began when I was 15 years old, and I was given my first Polaroid camera. From there, I started venturing into other film cameras and digital photography. At a very young age, I was already building my portfolio on Flickr and taking photos of moments that inspired me. It was all pretty innocent until I came across other photographers work and it sparked a fire in me to be better. I would say that I wouldn’t be the person that I am today without that feeling of personal challenge. Eventually, I grew out of Flickr and realized that there was a whole different level of photography that I didn’t know existed. I quickly fell in love with wedding photography and I haven’t looked back since.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
In a nutshell, I am a light and airy photographer that specializes in wedding photography. My main goal is to provide my couples with the best photographic experience and create timeless images for generations to come. I believe in beautiful marriages so it’s important for me to capture honest, authentic, and romantic moments. I want people to feel the raw emotions when they look at my images; that is why I treat every wedding as if it were my very own.

In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
I think a challenge that many artists are faced with today is insecurity. At some point, every artist struggles through it and sometimes it can be extremely overpowering. I’ve learned that the best way to overcome it is through lots of practice and patience. Creating art is all about doing it with love and being yourself. The act of creating art should always feel therapeutic and natural.
