We recently had the chance to connect with Brinn Miracle and have shared our conversation below.
Brinn, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I’m more of a night owl, so my mornings tend to be pretty slow. I’m the last one up after my husband and daughter, and after sending them off to work and school, I get ready and prepare breakfast for myself and my dog. Then its checking emails, a short walk for the fluffy beast (more sniffing than walking!), and jumping into the day’s tasks.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Brinn Miracle — founder of Architangent, and your go-to strategist when it comes to designing spaces and businesses that actually thrive.
What started as a passion blog back in 2011 has evolved into a full-service architecture and interior design firm with over 1 million square feet built and 80% repeat clients. We’re not just designing pretty spaces — we’re helping businesses grow, scale, and show up with purpose.
Right now, I’m expanding the brand into a new segment called Resource Creators™ — our educational arm focused on vision, strategy, and clarity for small and mid-sized businesses (especially in the design space). Through courses, coaching, and community, we’re helping founders connect the dots between brand, space, and business performance.
At Architangent, we create spaces that are Designed to Thrive.
At Resource Creators, we offer Think Tank Therapy for Your Business.
Either way, if you’re bold enough to do things differently — I’m here for it.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I was 10 years old, sketching a house with wild rooflines. My dad looked at it and said, “That’s too complicated — no one will be able to afford it.”
Without missing a beat, I said, “That’s fine. I’ll just get rich clients.”
That moment stuck with me.
It was the first time I realized I didn’t need permission to dream big — I just needed the guts to go after it. And I’ve been doing that ever since.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced was a season of intense, unexpected anxiety that hit in my late 20s. It was debilitating — panic attacks, fear of social settings, even simple things like meetings felt overwhelming. And I was still in the professional role that required me to sit in front of Fortune 100 C-Suites.
Most people had no idea how hard I was working just to show up.
Healing didn’t happen overnight. It took therapy, medication, and giving myself permission to slow down. Over time, I found my confidence again — and ironically, now I love public speaking and putting myself out there.
That experience taught me that resilience isn’t about powering through. It’s about learning how to ask for help, face the fear, and still choose to show up — even if your hands are shaking.
It also reshaped how I lead. I don’t chase hustle for the sake of it anymore. I build systems, I build support, and I make space for being human — for myself and my team.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire people who show up with both strength and sincerity — not just power.
Jamie Kern Lima stands out for me. Her story isn’t about shortcuts or flash — it’s about grit, purpose, and staying grounded in who you are, even when the stakes are high. She leads with heart, owns her struggles, and lifts others as she climbs.
That kind of authenticity?
It’s rare — and it’s exactly the kind of leadership I respect most.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I was someone who didn’t wait for permission — I just showed up, asked better questions, and built what didn’t exist yet.
That I used design to make people feel something — seen, empowered, inspired.
That I challenged the norms, pushed for better, and made space for others to rise with me.
And more than anything, I hope they say:
“She made it easier for others to believe they could do it too — and gave them the tools to make it happen.”
