We’re looking forward to introducing you to Celeste Potter. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Celeste, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building isn’t just a business—it’s the heart behind it. Serenity Sips was never about just coffee or wellness tech. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe to reset, reconnect, and belong. What most people don’t see is the years I spent behind the scenes helping other businesses grow, always quietly supporting someone else’s dream.
When it came time to step into the spotlight and build something of my own, imposter syndrome hit hard. I struggled to feel worthy of leading something so personal and visible. But the truth is, Serenity Sips isn’t just about me—it’s something my whole family poured into. It’s rooted in our values, our culture, our memories, and our shared desire to build something meaningful for our community.
I’m proud of the emotional resilience it took to get here, the unseen work that shaped this place, and the belief I had to rebuild in myself—to lead boldly while staying grounded in love and intention.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Celeste Potter—most people call me CJ. I’m the founder of Serenity Sips Bar & Wellness Emporium, a family-owned space in Spring, Texas where handcrafted drinks, clean living, and cutting-edge wellness meet. Our space blends the warmth of a café with the restoration of a wellness studio, offering everything from premium coffee and tea to advanced, non-invasive therapies that use light, heat, oxygen-ozone steam, compression, and pulsed energy to help the body detox, recover, and reset. One of our most-loved experiences is often described as a “sauna on steroids”—a total body upgrade that leaves you feeling lighter, clearer, and recharged.
But Serenity Sips is about more than just services—it’s about belonging. It was born out of my own journey through injury, healing, and years spent helping others grow their brands behind the scenes. When I finally stepped forward to build something of my own, it took courage to feel worthy of it. What we’ve created is deeply rooted in family, culture, and the desire to make well-being feel beautiful and approachable. It’s a space where people can slow down, reconnect, and care for themselves—without pressure or pretense.
What makes us unique is the intention behind every detail—from our drink menu and curated clean products to the way our space feels when you walk in. Our community fuels us, and our team is as much a part of the mission as I am. We host social gatherings, partner with local practitioners, and are committed to making holistic wellness more accessible to everyone.
Right now, we’re expanding our community memberships, collaborating with other small businesses, and beginning the groundwork to help others design their own wellness spaces—bringing a bit of Serenity into homes, offices, and personal rituals. At the heart of it all, Serenity Sips is a love letter to rest, nourishment, and showing up for yourself in ways that feel grounded, luxurious, and real.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My family- my husband, my kids, my parents, and my siblings. Every step of the way. I became a mom very early in life, and I’ve carried a deep sense of responsibility ever since—not just for my own path, but to prove that circumstances don’t get to define you. I wanted to show up strong, stable, and resourceful—not just for my kids, but for anyone who felt overlooked, underestimated, or labeled.
When I thought I wanted to be a doctor, they supported me. When I joined the military as a mom of 3—something most people would never consider “realistic”—they stood by me. And now, as I build Serenity Sips, they’re all here. Rooted next to me, working beside me, believing in this dream as much as I do.
They’ve always seen more in me than I’ve allowed myself to claim. They’ve never discounted me for my age, my ambitions, or the unconventional route I’ve taken. That unconditional love gave me permission to bet on myself—even when I wasn’t sure I could. And it’s a huge part of why I’m building a space where other people can feel seen, supported, and reminded that they’re capable of more than the world sometimes tells them.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There was a point after my injury when I felt like I had lost the core of who I was. I had worked so hard to build a path, to make my family proud, and to hold myself to a certain standard of strength and capability. That injury didn’t just affect my body—it unraveled my sense of identity. I carried a lot of disappointment, not just in what I lost, but in what I feared I could no longer become.
Even now, with Serenity Sips, that feeling still creeps in sometimes. We’re just over a year into the concept, and this October marks one year of being open to the public. Every single month has been a mix of triumph, faith, grit, and a hundred tiny decisions not to give up. When you build something this personal—from the ground up—it’s not just business, it’s soul work.
There have been moments I questioned if I could keep going, but something always rises up to remind me: this space matters. The vision, the people, the impact—it’s worth the push. And so I keep showing up. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s meaningful. And that makes all the difference.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes—but it’s only one layer of me. What people see publicly is real: I care deeply. I lead with heart. If you tell me you have a dream, I’ll probably believe in it more fiercely than you do. I want people to succeed—not just in business, but in healing, in self-worth, in whatever lights them up. That part of me isn’t curated—it’s just who I am.
But like anyone, there are parts of me that aren’t always visible. The tired parts. The overwhelmed parts. The quiet moments of self-doubt. I don’t always share those, not because they’re not real, but because I’m often too focused on holding space for others to pause and hold it for myself.
So yes—the public version of me is real. But the full version? She’s still unfolding, still healing, still learning how to let people show up for her the way she shows up for them.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is the way I make people feel. I think that’s the most lasting part of who I am. Beyond titles, businesses, or what I’ve built—what stays is the energy I bring into a room. The way I listen. The belief I have in people when they forget to believe in themselves.
Even without a name or role, I’d still show up as someone who sees potential, who offers calm, who holds space. That’s the core of me—my love for people, my resilience, my desire to build beauty and meaning wherever I go.
And maybe that’s enough. Maybe that’s everything.
