Hi Cleveratta, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Devoted Beauty Cosmetics is literally my dream come true! I have always been the girl/woman that wanted to LOOK the way that I FEEL from the inside out! I hated the way that my face felt every time I would put on other cosmetic brands. They were either too heavy, would make my face dry, add to the complexities of the oil of my skin or break me out! So I bought several different brands, did my research on skin properties, and worked with the different chemical breakdowns that make up most of our favorite brands! What I didn’t like is most of the things that composed some of the brands that I loved was NOT good at all for my skin. So I made an entire cosmetic line that not only LOOKS good but also helps treat, moisturize and take care of your skin while you wear it! Also, what makes my cosmetics brand stand out from above the rest is that my make up is not only formulated for women, but it is also formulated for the skin of men as well! We just launched our exclusive MEN’s collection!!!! A Cosmetics Line Made For EVERYONE That is the Vision After becoming a wife and a mother, I had to put this long-life dream of creating a cosmetic line on hold but now I have been blessed with the resources, time and support for this to fully become what I’ve dreamed it would be.
I am known for my award-winning personality, but my love and passion for makeup always leaves a lasting impression. I have created a cosmetic line that is for EVERYONE! Men and Women that THRIVE and EMBRACE their own individuality! Those who are UNIQUE and BOLD or to Themselves and Reserved. I am DEVOTED to creating a product that will forever leave a LASTING IMPRESSION. I am Devoted to the COSPLAYERS! I am DEVOTED to the Older Generation! I am DEVOTED to the Drag Artist KINGS and Queens! I am DEVOTED to the Teens and the TRENDSETTERS of tomorrow! I am DEVOTED to EVERYONE individual STYLE and UNIQUENESS! I AM DEVOTED!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started this cosmetics line roughly 8 to 10 years ago, starting from complete scratch! I started the company in January 2020, and let me tell you were starting, launching, and running a company in the beginning of a pandemic has been one of the toughest struggles I e faced but it has also brought a lot of blessings out of it as well!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Have you ever heard of the expression a jack of all trades? Hahaha I am the owner, creator, and founder of Devoted Beauty Cosmetics. I am A full-time wife, I am a full-time mother to a beautiful daughter who just turned three, Actor, singer and I’m a starting social Media influencer. My life is never dull, and I always have something going on! I was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic, so ever since then I have been full-time Devoted Beauty and I haven’t looked back since!
How do you define success?
Success is accepting your current state while NEVER losing your sights on your dreams and goals of your future state! I always have to remind myself to slow down and to enjoy what I have in the present because tomorrow isn’t promised. I am blessed to have my family! I am blessed to have my friends! I am blessed for my husband and my daughter! And I am blessed for the current success that my company is having at this current point in time. No matter if I get 500 sales or just one, I am content, blessed and happy! The ultimate goal is to be that multi-million dollar company so that I can help in missionary work with children and the elderly, but until that time, I am happy with what I have in the present!
