Check out Joani Nunez’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joani Nunez.

Joani, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I think every child is born with intuitive and mystical gifts, creativity, joy, and freedom of expression. I was lucky enough to be born into a family that honored and encouraged these things instead of fearing and repressing them.

After that, it became simply a matter of following what excites me, brings me joy, and deepens my connection to Spirit and to my Soul.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am first a mystic, poet, and healer – my art, my work, and my life always have these at the core.

In shamanism everything is alive, everything has a Spirit and a Voice… I seek to connect with this and then bridge it into the physical.

Whether I’m creating a totem for someone, or doing a shamanic healing session – first I connect with and consult the Helping Spirits, then I become a conduit for that healing, beauty, and wisdom to flow through.

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
Trust yourself, your Soul, no matter what anyone else tells you.

You are unique, and your voice matters.

Believe in yourself and everything else will fall into place.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
Each piece I create, or shamanic session I perform, is specifically tied to an individual and their journey through life, so I work by appointment.

If someone needs a session or wants a totem or piece of healing art, they contact me, set up an appointment, and we go from there.
