Hi Andi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Mexico City in 1981, and from a very young age, the arts became my language. I learned to play the piano, danced ballet as a little girl, and later fell in love with jazz dance. Creativity was always part of me. By the time I was in secondary school, I had a natural talent for hairstyling—I could create intricate styles effortlessly. Without the internet or tutorials, I taught myself makeup and mastered it quickly.
In high school, I had a dream: to own my own beauty salon. At just 20 years old, I made it happen. From 2000 to 2005, I ran my salon, and those years remain some of the most defining of my life. Managing employees, handling business responsibilities, and performing haircuts, color, and styling at such a young age taught me resilience, leadership, and the art of making people feel beautiful.
Later, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, which opened new doors. I built a career as a Marketing and Sales Director, specializing in digital marketing and continuously evolving with the industry. For over a decade, I honed my skills, but deep down, my love for beauty never faded.
Beyond my career, I am also a mother. My daughter, Valeria, is now 22 and thriving in Brisbane, Australia, where she studies and works. My family has always been my foundation, even as life took me in different directions.
In 2024, I made a bold decision—to merge my two greatest passions: beauty and marketing. I stepped into the world of content creation, working with international beauty brands to share my expertise in makeup, haircare, and skincare. Through tutorials, GRWMs, trending product showcases, and daily routines, I turned my artistry into an inspiring digital presence. I also share my love for cooking and the moments I cherish with my Australian Shepherd, Kyra.
Today, at 43, I live in Houston Texas with my husband the love of my life, and together, we are building a future filled with joy, purpose, and passion. I feel fulfilled in every area—as a wife, a mother, and a professional. My journey has been a blend of dreams, hard work, and reinvention, and every step has led me to the beautiful life I live today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is never a straight road—it’s a winding path filled with highs and lows, lessons, and resilience. My journey over the past 23 years has been anything but smooth, but every challenge has shaped me into the woman I am today.
One of the most defining moments in my life was when I separated from my daughter’s father. She was just four years old, and I had to make a difficult but necessary decision—to invest in myself, in my career, and in our future. As a single mother, I carried not only my own dreams but also the responsibility of providing the best life possible for my daughter. There were moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion, and times when I wondered if I was making the right choices.
In pursuit of professional growth, we moved across different cities and countries, adapting to new cultures, new environments, and new challenges. While each move was an opportunity, it also came with sacrifices—starting over, building a support system from scratch, and ensuring that my daughter always felt at home, no matter where we were.
Through it all, I learned the power of perseverance. I learned that strength isn’t about having an easy path but about finding the courage to keep going even when the road is uncertain. Every obstacle, every late night, every moment of doubt led me to where I am today—fulfilled, happy, and grateful for every twist and turn that brought me here..
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have always been an artist at heart, expressing my creativity through beauty, marketing, and content creation. My journey started at just 19 when I opened my own beauty salon—a dream I turned into a thriving business by the time I was 21. I take great pride in having built something from the ground up, not only making it profitable but also providing jobs for others.
One of my proudest achievements during that time was securing a collaboration with a major television network. I styled their morning news anchors at 5:30 AM in exchange for having my salon’s logo and advertising featured on their program. It was exhausting but incredibly rewarding, proving that strategic partnerships and creativity could open new doors.
Beyond my salon, I was recognized by Wella and invited to become a professional technical educator for the brand. This gave me the opportunity to train hairstylists in the latest color trends while still managing my own business. I also created breathtaking bridal hairstyles, quinceañera looks, and innovative color transformations—some of my most cherished artistic accomplishments.
As my career evolved, marketing opportunities began to emerge, and I embraced them fully. Transitioning into the corporate world, I led marketing and sales teams, implemented groundbreaking strategies, and earned multiple awards for my leadership and innovation. Each challenge pushed me to grow, proving that creativity and strategy go hand in hand.
Today, I am incredibly proud to be merging my two greatest passions—beauty and marketing—by working with top beauty brands to create authentic, engaging content. Through tutorials, product showcases, and trend-driven storytelling, I connect with my audience in a genuine way. I know I am on the right path, and while there’s still more to achieve, I embrace every step of this journey with passion, purpose, and an unstoppable drive.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is my family—my husband, my daughter, my mom, my dog Kyra, my husband’s children, and my closest relatives.
Family is the foundation of everything in my life. While I am deeply passionate about my journey as a beauty content creator and love the growth I’m experiencing in this field, nothing compares to the love and connection I share with my family. They are my greatest source of joy, strength, and motivation, and every achievement is even more meaningful because I get to share it with them.
