Ya Ya Club was founded in 2002. Robin Ebrecht And Angie Mcclelland are the current co-owners of the brick and mortar store located in the heart of Katy Texas. The two of us share an ideology of helping women see the world through clothing, gifts, and home decor. We use our gifts of time and money to serve others and build up women … in our community and other parts of the globe.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Any great entrepreneur knows that there will be storms and trials. For us, the key is preparation, a positive mindset, and perseverance. COVID-19 and the pandemic that all the world has seen has certainly caused us to think outside the box. We were blessed to use social media and Facebook to connect with our customers not only through selling of merchandise but uplifting and inspiring messages to keep a positive spirit and hope in each and every one of them! We used our resources and networks to Serve and help others.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
After receiving her degree from the University of Texas, Angie McClelland took off to Los Angeles and Embarked into the clothing industry with a mindset of success. Angie worked in manufacturing, both domestic and international. She worked in sales and growth strategy, scaling small businesses to larger ones. She is most proud of working with people all over the world and building friendships for a lifetime and showing her kids the day to day meaning of hard work. Robin is no stranger to hard work and sacrifice. She attended Sam Houston State University where she met her soulmate. She supported her husband, founder of a global restoration company, and raised a family. Robin’s ability to navigate through business negotiations, a sharp eye for fashion, and a love of family and community make her a perfect partner for Angie. The two joined forces in 2018 and have shown the community with God first, family, then work … Women can change the world one hanger at a time.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Robin and Angie are unapologetic about their faith in Jesus Christ. Both women regularly host a Facebook up close and personal live chat with problems and practical solutions for women and moms today.
