Today we’d like to introduce you to Anitra Renée.
Hi Anitra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always loved Home Décor, I remember picking up items in K-mart, and begging my mother to buy them. She would call them trinkets, and tell me that’s just something else she’d have to dust.
When I first moved into my home, I was super excited, because it was new construction, and I had a blank canvas that I had so many ideas for. During that time YouTube was on the rise (I didn’t know it then), I watched so many home Décor shopping videos & hauls. My friends thought I was weird for watching other people’s lives, but somehow it was so exciting & entertaining to me. It was always a thought in my mind to start my own channel, but at the time I lacked the courage to do so.
Then one day, my friend Natara encouraged me to shoot my very first video with my camera phone, (which by the way was horrible, lol) I’m so happy that I did because in December of 2019, I launched my YouTube channel, “Anitra Renèe TV.”
I always knew that I wanted a space I could call my own little safe haven, so what better way to document my passion for home decor and life moments than a digital diary.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It most definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There has been long, restless nights of research, research, research, and editing was no breeze. However, it has gotten better over time with repetition.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Full time Appraiser, who is developing a brand that represents my passion for home decor and beautiful life moments. I’m just happy I went for it, because you never know what could be, if you never try. I’d encourage anyone who has a passion to just shoot their shot.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I once wanted to become a makeup artist.
