Hi Anjel Joy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
How I started as a young girl with entrepreneurship on her mind- My business started when I was 15 years old, a year before the pandemic hit I was thinking of starting a business, a small online boutique, selling trendy sunglasses, bags and accessories. Later in the years due to low sales and not enough support, I put a pause on my boutique (JCB) Joy’s Classy Boutique. But now the business is under renewal, I am changing some things and adding some things. I have more than just fashion and fashion styling in my skillset and talents, I’m a songwriter/singer. I have a Christian romance mystery book I will publish soon! And Im a content creator! God is good and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for me! I hope to inspire many in my life to know you can do anything with Christ on your side and believing in yourself and always have perseverance. Don’t ever give up, no matter what situation or age, don’t put a timeline on your success!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Struggling to see if I wanted to go to college and doubting myself when some didn’t believe in me or supported me! Fast forward, I kicked myself out of the way, wind up getting a scholarship, I’m going to college unless God says otherwise!
I lost some loved ones and battled depression and anxiety and more! I have a testimony but I will share more when ready! But I can say despite how much I doubted my own self God and my Mother believed in me more!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Styling clothes as a curvy girl who also likes to buy nice brands Or get vintage thrift finds I live being able to style together clothes and feel good and be confident in my creativity and my art in music, I’m proud to say the gifts I was given from God to sing and write the music , music is spiritual it is a healer and I believe the music I write will be healing and peaceful and pure to the spirit and mind! What sets me apart from others. Is nothing huge, my Love for God. I’m human like anyone else, but my love for God is what makes me want to better myself everyday. despite obstacle and trials.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a bold girl but very polite and sweet a little naive. After finding out true colors of people I started to close up and become a introvert. I still haven’t even gotten a boyfriend yet and I’m okay with that I learned that loneliness doesn’t have to be sad all the time I love my time with myself and that kind of peace is okay! But I’m getting out my shell now because I have a purpose that requires my personality to shine
