Everlasting Captures by Ashely began with a deep love for storytelling through the lens. What started as a simple hobby—taking photos of friends, family, and nature—quickly grew into a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. I found joy in freezing time, preserving emotions, and creating lasting memories for others to cherish.
Over time, I invested in better equipment, taught myself editing techniques, and started offering sessions for events like engagements, graduations, and quinceañeras. Word-of-mouth referrals and support from my community helped my business grow steadily.
What truly drives me is the connection I make with each client. I believe every photo tells a story, and I’m honored to be the one who helps tell it. Today, Everlasting Captures is not just a business—it’s a dream come true that allows me to combine creativity, connection, and purpose in every shot I take.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all—it’s been a journey full of growth, faith, and hustle. When I first started, I didn’t have any clients or even a social media presence. My studio was literally my living room, and it still is where I love capturing moments to this day. What made all the difference was the support of my husband, Albert. He’s always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. He built a beautiful studio for me right in our garage—turning a dream into something real. Together, we created a photography business that’s affordable for families like ours. We wanted people to have beautiful, professional photos without breaking the bank. The best part has been watching this grow from something we knew nothing about into something we’ve invested in, not just for ourselves, but for our future and our family. And through it all, we know we couldn’t have done any of this without God. His guidance and grace have led every step, and we’re beyond grateful for how far He’s brought us.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a lifestyle and event photographer, and I specialize in capturing real, beautiful moments that tell a story—whether it’s a quinceañera, graduation, engagement, maternity, or a holiday shoot. I’m also expanding into drone photography, which has added such a unique and cinematic touch to my work. What I’m most proud of is the experience I give my clients. I want everyone to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
What sets me apart is that I’ve built this business from the ground up—literally from my living room—with the belief that high-quality photography shouldn’t be out of reach for everyday people. I create packages that are affordable without sacrificing the artistry and care behind each shoot.
I think people connect with me because I keep it real. I bring heart to every session, treat each family like my own, and pray over my business constantly. My clients aren’t just customers—they become part of the story I’m telling through my lens. That’s the most beautiful part to me.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
For me, it’s a mix of faith, consistency, and heart. I truly believe that staying grounded in God and trusting His timing has been the foundation of everything I’ve built. But alongside that, consistency—showing up even when it’s hard, even when no one’s booking or engaging—has made the difference. And most importantly, I put my heart into everything I do. I care deeply about my clients, their stories, and the memories I help create. That genuine love for what I do is what keeps people coming back and sharing my work with others. It’s not just about photos—it’s about connection, purpose, and impact.
