Houston has always been my cherished hometown, a city I’ve called home since the age of five. In 2009, I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, and by 2011, I had completed my training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. For the next eleven years, I poured my heart and soul into a fulfilling career at one of Texas’ esteemed maternal-fetal medicine clinics. Despite finding immense satisfaction in my profession, the desire to prioritize my role as a parent to my two young children led me to transition into the role of a stay-at-home mom. However, my unwavering passion for ultrasound and patient care persisted, and my entrepreneurial spirit drove me to establish Oh My Baby! Ultrasound. OMB is not just a business—it’s a culmination of my lifelong dedication to maternal-fetal medicine and my commitment to providing exceptional care to expectant parents. From diagnostic scans, including anatomy assessments, fetal growths, biophysical profiles, cervical assessments, and fetal echocardiograms, to elective 3D/4D/5D ultrasounds that capture precious moments, our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of every family. At the core of Oh My Baby! are values of compassion, expertise, and excellence. We prioritize the well-being and comfort of every client, ensuring that each ultrasound experience is personalized, informative, and memorable. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey to establishing Oh My Baby! Ultrasound has been both fulfilling and challenging. Transitioning from a successful career in maternal-fetal medicine to entrepreneurship required careful navigation and adaptation. Balancing the demands of motherhood with the demands of starting and running a business presented its own set of challenges—let’s just say coffee became my new best friend. Additionally, breaking into the market and building a client base from scratch required a lot perseverance and creativity. Despite these hurdles, the joy of seeing the positive impact of my services on expectant parents has made every obstacle worth overcoming. As I continue on this entrepreneurial journey, I’ve come to realize that the world of business is never-ending and always evolving—I’m constantly learning and growing along the way.

What I’m most proud of is the positive impact we’ve had on countless families, as we’ve helped them create lasting memories and strengthen their bond with their baby before birth. Seeing the joy and excitement on parents’ faces when they see their baby for the first time is truly rewarding and drives us to continue providing exceptional care and service. Additionally, it brings me immense satisfaction to know that we’ve been able to assist mothers who couldn’t get out of bed to attend OB appointments due to medical issues during pregnancy. By bringing our services directly to them, we alleviate the stress and logistical challenges they face, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need without added strain. Witnessing the relief and gratitude on their faces reinforces our commitment to providing accessible and compassionate care to all expectant parents.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be the family road trips we took across America. We’d all squeeze into our van and go off to see cool places. Back then, we didn’t have fancy gadgets like iPads, so we’d keep busy playing games and talking, which made us feel really close. And you can’t forget the snacks! Every few hours, I’d bug my dad to stop for some ice cream and Taco Bell. Those trips created lasting bonds and unforgettable experiences that I treasure dearly.
