Check Out Caitlyn Maloy’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlyn Maloy

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a born-and-raised Texan with a passion for helping people find a place to call home. My professional background ranges from a career in corporate communications with a Fortune 10 company to co-founder of a line of women’s wearable wellness. A recurring theme in that varied experience is finding myself in high-pressure situations. And no matter the task or environment, my approach remains the same: conscientious and solution-oriented.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When is it ever without challenges?! I have made several career pivots, a complete career change and have even been on the receiving end of a lay-off. But I truly believe in the idea of reframing “rejection” into “redirection”. Whatever is meant to be, will be.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I look at my role as acting as a partner to you more than anything. I’m here to help you navigate one of the most significant experiences you’ll ever encounter: buying or selling the place you call home. That’s no small feat! Having spent the better part of two years on a top Compass Houston team, my knowledge of the space and the resources I bring are vast and valuable. I work with the some of the best and most trusted tradesmen in the city – from contractors to inspectors to lenders. I sit on an all-female team with nine other knowledgable and savvy agents who mutually lend their expertise on any one deal the team is involved in. So you work with me, but you get nine other brains!

My goal is to make this process as seamless and enjoyable as possible. When the pressure inevitably sets in, I’m here to lend an ear, a solicited opinion, or a tension-easing joke if that’s what the client needs. I have lived in nearly every major Texas metro as well as New York City and understand the importance of your unique lifestyle. I will work with you to identify your priorities or narrow in on those you’ve already established. I consider myself optimistically realistic and operate with this outlook to help you achieve your real estate goals.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
As someone who ended up working in real estate, I’ll never forget my first open house. My mom, sister and I were the definition of “lookie loos.” The home was not only NOT in budget, we weren’t in the market for a new one. Of course, at the ripe old age of 7, I didn’t know we weren’t actually shopping. I went through the house critically eyeing every detail and decided it simply wouldn’t work for us. Now being on the flip side of this scenario, I will say I don’t mind lookie loos popping by. There is usually some good conversation to come out of it…
