Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsey Hall.
Hi Chelsey, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began makeup in such a non-traditional way! I began learning makeup techniques while battling depression. I was birthing a passion and purpose while simultaneously ending my marriage!
In fact, I was going live on Facebook just to socialize with other adults because my children were young, and my husband and I were at odds; I was alone in the space of connecting with adults! I began going live and teaching myself these new techniques via YouTube University! In those lives, we shared, laughed, and built a community! I didn’t recognize it at the time, but it was therapeutic and something to look forward to despite my reality! One night a good friend asked me to do her makeup because her makeup artist had canceled, and her mother was on hospice. She needed her photoshoot to be perfect! I was so nervous and had been denying “clients” for months because I was “just a girl on live”! I couldn’t turn her away! I grabbed the makeup I had purchased and some brushes, and she posted the photos with “Makeup by Chelsey”! I didn’t have a name, confidence, or direction! I did, however, know I felt this exhilarating experience while doing her makeup! I went from zero clients to 5 a month to 10 a day! It was amazing to sit and chat with my Facebook community and those women who had been referred to me! Fast forward 6 years later, and I’ve cried, celebrated, grown, and loved thousands of women! Some women travel to Houston for engagements, and others are residents. Regardless, they’re all a part of my healing journey, and we create a safe space to “take the cape off!” This space has now become home to my podcast, and we interview and share our experiences for other women & men to view the perspective of being in my infamous chair and how we really get to the root of healing and evolving as mothers, women, and so much more!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road has not been easy! And that’s essentially been the best part! Each low has been a moment of transparency and growth not only for me but for my clients. It is not much that we don’t discuss in the chair so they’re able to view life from my lens and vice versa! They’ve seen me overcome divorce, parenting whoas, breakups, my spiritual journey, relocation…you name it!

I am a Texas-based makeup artist with six years of dedicated artistry, channeling divine inspiration and a journey of personal healing to guide others. My perfected works adorn published platforms, reflecting unwavering dedication. Beyond makeup, I intertwine energy, wisdom, and top-tier service, fostering an empowering ambiance in every project. As a mother of three, I harmonize personal growth with nurturing warmth. Four years ago, photography became a passion, broadening my creative horizons. What matters most to you? Why?
Healing! We all have been hurt or jaded, for me what matters most is what you do after that…”now what?” It is your responsibility to heal & in order to pivot correctly, we must take the mask off and get transparent about healing, growing & submission to how none of this is possible in our own strength! God has sustained us, and nothing is wasted with him! Not even the hurt!
