Check Out Christian Clark’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Clark

Hi Christian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well I’ve done many things in my life and I currently still am!
Sold hookahs
Put out a few songs
And then I became a dj .. although it had always been a dream and a passion of mine I just never had the correct tools and or resources to start.
Around Covid, I stopped working and I had some extra money.. I was door dashing , (I was on unemployment) lol the stimmy has just hit, money was great. So I just woke up one day and decided to chase after my dream of being a dj; went and purchased all of the equipment, DM’d some DJs (who still to this day have not texted back) lo& land I went from there.
I promise you I watched one YouTube video on djn and I just been in the lab in my garage ever since & and for three years truly , I swear to you; by the grace of God I’ve been booked for private gigs every weekend

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve had many struggles and shortcomings , from losing my aunt & experiencing financial hardship , to experiencing suicide attempts and experiencing suicidal thoughts.
fighting and battling depression.
Thankfully God has brought me out of it, so I’m truly grateful for his powerful hand for keeping me yet this far.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
So before I become I dj, i’ve always had a passion & love for music; since a child. I’ve been a music lover. I grew up singing, I sang in church. My family is very musically inclined. My cousin is a Grammy nominated artist. So music is in my blood.
I put out a few rap songs here and there lol they didn’t catch any fire but hey..
I’m still writing and creating today. I have a slew of songs in the vault.
It’s my goal to actually write for someone. I would love to write for OTB one day. I have songs from Megan too. I would love to write for monaleo as well
As far as DJing, I feel like I specialize in beat matching and song mixing, people never know what I’m gonna pull out of my bag. I can literally mix any song and make it sound hot. I love mixing beats and taking songs that you would never think go together and putting them together. I also sing when I DJ so I believe that’s what truly sets me apart from the other DJs and I really know how to sing.. in my private gigs, I showcase that a bit more than I do in the club and they love it along with my impeccable song mixing.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Everybody is not going to like you and that’s okay. They’re not going to like you as a person and they’re not going to like you as a DJ and that is OK .. you’ll live. You’l have another client and you’ll have another gig.
