Today we’d like to introduce you to Clutch City Charms. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Clutch City Charms is a kid-owned business that consists of 3 siblings (Angelina, Ava & Manuel) that have always had a passion for business. It started when their Mother opened her Lash business along with their Aunt. They would always attend all the events & pop-ups with them and loved the whole process of setting up, meeting others, and seeing other small businesses. The charm idea came up because of popularity and it being such a huge hit around the world! Especially at school, we all wear them in our house and have charms so it was something we were already familiar with. We also like the idea of not it only being something kids can wear/use, Adults also are familiar with them. With the knowledge and help from our Mom, Clutch City Charms was officially opened for business online October 21, 2021.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has its ups and downs. We are 100% in person full-time students and our parents big on school, we are learning to prioritize our education and our business. School being of course #1 and our business #2. We try our best to keep up with everything and our Mom has been a huge help and usually steps in when we are focused on school. It kind of also teaches us the whole balance between school and work so it is good we are learning that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We just want to give a big thank you to everyone who supports us and invites us to events! Even though we are kids, people still continue to purchase from us and always give us good feedback. We are looking into having other items for sale by this Fall 2022. We are brainstorming and looking at items now and testing things so we make sure our customers will love them. We are so excited and just also want to thank our mom for showing us and being there for us through all of this. Love you mom!!! We are getting some events scheduled for the summer since we will be out of school.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes! Especially being out at events, we are mindful with ourselves since we are in school and around people daily. We have younger and older customers who we also look out for. Whether it’s as simple as always having hand sanitizer at our booth or free masks for our customers to feel comfortable. We also package all items with gloves just to again try to provide our customers with safe, clean items. We are pretty big in general in our house with being clean and making sure everything is sanitized so it’s kind of just a habit now.
