Today we’d like to introduce you to Croix Carter.
Hi Croix, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I got started in modeling and fashion because I’ve always loved fashion, but what kept me in it was the performance side. I enjoy stepping into different roles, bringing creative concepts to life, and using fashion as a form of storytelling. Over time, I realized that modeling is about much more than appearance—it’s about confidence, self-expression, and connection.
As I’ve grown, I’ve become passionate about helping create a fashion space that feels fun, positive, and safe for everyone. I love being part of projects, especially when it comes to runway or editorial shoots, for they celebrate individuality and allow people to see themselves represented. That’s really what motivates me today: combining fashion, creativity, and performance in a way that inspires people and makes them feel empowered, and nothing is more empowering than pumping on the runway and feeling the beat/vibes. I genuinely just love it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think everybody has their own journey, and it won’t all look the same, but for me, it’s smooth enough. In this industry, you don’t always get told yes to everything, and you will be told no to many things, but I think a no is nothing more than a blessing in disguise. I’ve been a model, creative director, photographer, videographer, stylist, and designer, so working through the fashion scene in many areas, you see a lot, but modeling is the hardest, I think, but when it’s a no, I say fake it till you make it and create the world you want to be in.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Fashion Model/Creative who thrives in editorials and on the runway. Now that is my creative job, but more professionally, I am a digital communications and marketing guru who has worked for many brands and companies. I think I’m mostly known for modeling and/or fashion, mostly because that’s what people see first based on first impressions. Many people don’t know my actual job, which I’m proud of, for I can combine my degree and my hobbies in the same world. I’m mostly proud of the networking I’ve done. I only took modeling seriously for about 10 months (since sept 2025, debuting during NYFW), and from just being intentional, genuine, confident, and kind, you really can meet all types of people and get into a lot of rooms. I think what sets me apart is my knack for brand storytelling and understanding of media. I think once you get into the mindset that you yourself are a brand and you have to manage yourself like one, especially on social media, where many people make it, you’ll see change, and that’s something I did. Also, I listen, I take chances, and listen to people who have been in rooms I haven’t been in or worked with people and brands I haven’t, listening helped me a lot and played a part in my success
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think the characteristic that’s most important to my success would have to be my personality, like I’m kind, weird, and quirky, but I’m also very confident, humble, and sincere with everybody. Just having more kindness and love in the world is what drives me to be the way I am today
