Check Out Fontonette Smith’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fontonette Smith

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Empowering Boss Life Magazine started as a vision rooted in the Elevating Women Empowerment Group, an initiative I created to support and uplift women entrepreneurs. Through that journey, I realized there was a gap in accessible, actionable resources tailored specifically for women looking to establish and grow their businesses.

With that in mind, I launched Empowering Boss Life Magazine—a platform designed to provide insights, strategies, and inspiration for women navigating entrepreneurship. From day one, my goal has been to equip women with the tools they need to build not just businesses, but legacies.

What started as a simple empowerment movement has evolved into a full-scale publication that goes beyond just business advice. Now, I’m creating another space within the magazine—one dedicated to increasing brand visibility for women entrepreneurs and business professionals. This isn’t just about resources; it’s about connection—connecting women with our readers, giving them a platform to introduce their brand and share their journey with the world.

This space will be a way for women to build their brand presence while also inspiring and helping other women who may share similar values, experiences, or challenges. By showcasing their stories, we’re not just highlighting businesses—we’re creating an environment where women uplift and empower each other through shared knowledge, real-life experiences, and collaborative opportunities.

This journey has been one of growth, learning, and continuous evolution, and I’m excited about what’s ahead as Empowering Boss Life Magazine continues to soar as a hub for women in business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to building Empowering Boss Life Magazine has been anything but smooth, but every challenge has shaped its growth and purpose. One of the biggest struggles has been visibility and reach—ensuring that the right women see and engage with the platform. Building an audience in a crowded digital space takes time, consistency, and strategic effort.

Another challenge has been balancing empowerment with profitability. The goal has always been to provide valuable resources and opportunities for women, but at the same time, it’s important to sustain the magazine financially. Finding the right balance between offering free content, monetizing through strategic partnerships, and ensuring that women-led businesses can still afford to participate has required careful planning and adaptability.

There have also been personal and professional hurdles—navigating self-doubt, burnout, and the pressure of constantly evolving. Running a platform like this means wearing many hats, from content creation to marketing to relationship-building. At times, it’s been overwhelming, but the passion behind the mission always pushes me forward.

Despite the challenges, every struggle has reinforced why Empowering Boss Life Magazine exists—to provide a space where women can learn, connect, and grow. The obstacles have only strengthened my commitment to creating a platform that truly amplifies women’s voices and businesses.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Empowering Boss Life Magazine, my work revolves around elevating the voices of women entrepreneurs and business professionals by providing them with a platform to share their brand stories and connect with a wider audience. The magazine isn’t just about business strategies—it’s about showcasing the real journeys of women who are making an impact in their industries.

I specialize in brand visibility and storytelling, helping women introduce their businesses in a way that resonates with readers. Through interviews, features, and insightful content, I create opportunities for women to expand their reach and establish a strong presence in their fields.

One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing the genuine connections and opportunities that have come from the magazine. Whether it’s a woman gaining new clients, forming valuable partnerships, or simply feeling seen and validated in her entrepreneurial journey, those moments remind me why I started this.

What makes Empowering Boss Life Magazine unique is its focus on authenticity and real connections. It’s not just a space for promotion—it’s a space where women can share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs in a way that inspires and uplifts others. I take pride in creating content that feels personal and impactful, ensuring that every feature tells a meaningful story, not just a sales pitch.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, the future of Empowering Boss Life Magazine is all about growth, innovation, and creating even greater opportunities for women in business. While we already provide a space for women to share their brands and stories, I’m focused on expanding how we connect them with the right audiences and create more impactful experiences.

One of the biggest changes I’m planning is enhancing engagement beyond the magazine itself. This includes developing interactive opportunities such as panel discussions, networking events, and strategic collaborations that give women real-time exposure and business-building connections.

I’m also looking to expand the reach of our platform, bringing more visibility to the women we feature by leveraging new media channels, partnerships, and digital strategies. The goal is to not only highlight women-owned brands but to position them in front of decision-makers, potential clients, and communities that align with their mission.

As we grow, I want Empowering Boss Life Magazine to be more than just a publication—it will be a movement that fuels success, strengthens collaboration, and gives women the stage they deserve to thrive.
