In the early days, I noticed a lack of modern, high-quality photo booths in Houston, so my wife and I decided to start Rumba Houston Photo Booth. Our business grew thanks to word of mouth and glowing Google reviews from satisfied customers. The journey has been rewarding, but it hasn’t always been smooth. Like many small business owners, we faced several challenges along the way. In the beginning, it was tough to stand out in a competitive market. We had to work hard to build trust and establish our reputation while operating with limited resources.
One of the biggest struggles was adapting to the unexpected challenges brought by the pandemic. Events were canceled or postponed, and we had to pivot quickly to stay afloat. This period taught us the importance of resilience and creativity—we used the time to refine our services, invest in better equipment, and enhance our marketing strategies.
Another ongoing challenge has been educating potential clients about the value of a high-quality photo booth experience. Many people assume all photo booths are the same, but we work hard to show how our modern equipment, customization options, and exceptional service set us apart.
