Check Out George Paredes’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to George Paredes.

George Paredes

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Started about 2 years ago when I decided to quit my job as a full-time postal employee and full-time real estate investor. Lots of learning through failure and using that failure to set the foundation of currently building a team around me the reaches out to people facing foreclosures and guiding them through the ways they can save their homes. Along this path, I realized that the more people I can help, the smaller my problems become because, somehow, my problems are solved by helping them with theirs. Main focus in my real estate business is foreclosures, distressed properties, and properties that are on market with little to no equity. I also love helping newer investors get their first deals by sharing my knowledge with them and seeing if we could close the deal together.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
What’s life without challenges, right? The best part I love about entrepreneurship is how closely aligned it is with having faith. By leave the comforts of the 9-5 and learning to no only work a business but actually run it had been both challenging but rewarding. It takes knowing that what way or the other things are going to pan out and by going to church every Sunday hearing the messages and stories in the Bible recharge my battery to keep going. In both entrepreneurship and walking the path of faith, in order to get to your highest highs, you need to go through your lowest lows.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Real estate investor. Being able to be that one-stop shop when speaking with homeowners trying to figure out what goal or need they are trying to pursue with selling their home. What would set me apart is asking deep questions into why they are selling their home other than the money because people sell/buy a home every 7-10 years, so it’s figuring out that why is so interesting to me and training my team to do so as well.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
So many!!! Lots of audiobooks I have read that I would have to write a paragraph, but last one I read or listened to is Who Not How by Dan Sullivan basically breaking down how you don’t need to do it all; you just need to find the who’s in your life that are going to help you achieve that goal. I am currently reading The Reinvention Formula by Craig Segal, which is so far about a man who has run into a rut in his life and has found his purpose through helping others, enjoying the struggles in life, and finding these things out through running. I also enjoy reading my Devotional Calendar that has daily words of encouragement.

Pricing:

  • I love to JV(joint venture) with other real estate investors to analyze the situation and usually get paid out 50/50 depending on what each party does to get the deal done.
  • I don’t get paid until I figure out what the problem or goal is first, so my pricing may vary depending on the situation, but we’re always aiming towards the $15k assignment fee with each deal.
  • Coaching •$3k for 3 months, where I will help you analyze a deal, walk through the process of speaking with the seller, helping you close a deal from A-Z, share the ways I have found success with what I’m doing, and by the end of those 3 months you may not end up with a deal but you will end up better than when we first started.
