Hi Greg, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started the mobile hookah service business, because after researching the market and trying multiple hookahs around the city they were all below subpar in my opinion. There was no one that provided a great hookah experience or good hookah at that. All of the clubs, restaurants and lounges all provide you with the same nasty tasting shisha that would causes headaches the next morning. I stepped in and wanted to change all of that and provide a one of a kind luxury hookah experience that you won’t find anywhere else here in Houston at an affordable cost. With anything I strongly believe you have to differentiate yourself in order to be successful. I took over 90 days to perfect ten custom shisha mixes that are all made with natural real fruit and have the lowest nicotine levels which ensured no headaches the next day and it provided a much more flavorful and enjoyable taste.
Next, I started doing business with a credible supplier oversees and had them supply me with only mid-sized modern hookahs that were aesthetically pleasing and made from high quality material such as glass and silicone. Lastly, I wanted to provide a luxury experience to all of my customers by providing the full hookah package, being mobile and fully catering to all of their hookah needs at any type of event they would have.
Of course, things started out slow but then it all turned around with a few events and the word of mouth marketing from pervious clients. My hookah services is one of those things where you just have to try it and once you do you will 100% realize what all these other places give you for hookah is terrible. I’ve been blessed to cater small and big events, birthdays, family gatherings, boutiques, and much more. We are simply great at what we do, by providing a luxury hookah experience you won’t get from any other hookah vendor in Houston, TX.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m completely happy with that because I wouldn’t appreciate it as much if it was just handed to me. Financially its big investment to get the most modern hookahs and supplies from oversees. The biggest struggle is just getting our products and services in front of more people. Once a customer tries the hookah service, over 85 percent of the time they book us again for another event or someone who was at their event books us for their upcoming event. Lastly, when it comes to advertising and promoting the business, a big challenge is being approved from major platforms like Facebook and Instagram because of their restrictions which at first was frustrating but we are slowly maneuvering around that and creating content that will be approved for promotions.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently work in the human resources department specializing in Talent acquisition. I would say I’m known for always smiling, having a positive attitude, and my ability to build relationships with others on a deeper level. Furthermore, I believe my faith in God, my determination to exceed expectations, and my positive go-getter attitude sets me apart from others. “I’m humble enough to know I am not better than anyone else but wise enough to know I am different.”
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important thing that I have learned along this journey is that “Rome was not built in a day” In essence understanding things aren’t going to happen right away it’s going to take time to develop each and every day. I learned to celebrate the little wins no matter how small they may be but also never be complacent and always continue to strive to be the best and provide the best mobile hookah services there is!
