Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Bouie
Hi Isaiah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a young child I grew up seeing photographers take photos when going to photoshoots with my mom who modeled. My mom noticed how amazed I was and she got me my first camera at the early age of 10
Once that camera was in my hand I was able to document everything the way I saw it. I would take my camera everywhere I would go, from traveling with sports, to my love with traveling abroad. My love for connecting with people and being able to stop time and capture moments has been a passion of mine the moment I tapped into my artistry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A smooth road?…. No way, I believe I wouldn’t be where I’m at now if the road to this current day was smooth. I’ve been down many wrong ways, dead ends and detours that has shaped me into the artist I am now. Some of my struggles consisted of, coming to the understanding that I can’t service everyone and saying NO because at times I’d want to say yes to every gig.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in photography and filmmaking. I’m known for my portraits in beauty and headshots and being able to connect with and guide my clients to getting the best photo for their current needs. I’m most proud that I’m currently servicing clients throughout 5 states.
I think what sets me apart from my competitors is that I can almost guarantee that I can get the best shot within the first 5-10 minutes of our session.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success depends on your personal goals and what drives you creatively or professionally. Expanding your business through referrals, repeat clients, or scaling to offer additional services along with building a reputation as a go-to creative artist for your area can be a definition for success.
