Today we’d like to introduce you to Jace Davis.
Hi Jace, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business around 2017 I was working for the post already for like 3 years and I kept telling myself I don’t want to work for ANYONE. I want to make my own schedule I want a work life balance. I felt I was getting too comfortable with where I was and I wanted more. I started selling plates on weekends just on the side but never took it serious. So I decided to invest all my money and time into catering and now here we are 4 years later, full-time catering.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it’s definitely not a smooth road, lol.Being an entrepreneur is not for the weak. You have your good months you have your bad but you strive to see the goodness in it all and what you envision yourself at in a certain amount of time. I believe it’s worth the struggle.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I cater. I specialize in Cajun and Soulfood cuisines and brunches. I’m most known for my eggrolls lol you would think people want some real food. Nope, they want eggrolls, lol. I’m proud of overcoming a lot to get to where I’m at. I’m still not fully where I want to be but I’m working hard each and every day to get there.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
My ultimate goal is to have several food trucks, a kitchen and become a celebrity chef. I want to have businesses that I don’t have to run myself.
