Hi Jamal, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got into cigars in my early 20s as a way to meet people, relax, and build connections. What started as a social thing quickly turned into a deeper appreciation for the culture—everything from the craftsmanship and aging process to pairing cigars with good whiskey, coffee, and conversation.
Over time, it became more than just a hobby. I found myself learning the nuances of different blends, regions, and flavor profiles, and connecting with a community that values slowing down and being present. That mix of ritual, networking, and genuine enjoyment is what’s shaped where I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a pretty smooth road overall, but not without its moments of being a little overwhelming. The cigar world is constantly evolving—new blends dropping all the time, limited releases, different regions gaining attention, and just a lot happening across the industry. At times, it can feel like you’re trying to keep up with everything while still figuring out what you genuinely enjoy.
But honestly, that’s part of the fun. Instead of seeing it as pressure, I’ve come to appreciate it as an ever-growing experience. There’s always something new to discover, whether it’s a different flavor profile, a new pairing with whiskey or coffee, or just a fresh conversation with someone in the lounge. At the end of the day, it’s always come back to being something I genuinely enjoy—something that helps me slow down, connect, and keep learning.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At the core of what I do, it really comes down to connecting with people and sharing experiences. I’ve always enjoyed meeting new people, building friendships, and creating spaces where conversations flow naturally—and cigars became the perfect bridge for that.
I also have a strong passion for art and photography, and that’s where things started to come together in a more intentional way. Through my Instagram page, I’m able to showcase that creative side—capturing the details, mood, and lifestyle that come with cigars—while also sharing ideas, tips, and experiences with others in the community.
I’d say what I’m most proud of is being able to blend those worlds authentically. It’s not just about cigars, it’s about the culture around them—the visuals, the storytelling, the connections. What sets me apart is that balance between creativity and community. I’m not just sharing what I smoke, I’m sharing how it feels, how it looks, and how it brings people together.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best way people can work with me or support what I do is by simply being part of the community—engaging with the content, leaving comments, sharing their own experiences, and just keeping things genuine. I’m big on building real connections, so being friendly, open, and interactive goes a long way.
A lot of collaborations naturally come from that. When brands see the consistency in engagement and the positive, uplifting energy I bring, they tend to reach out on their own. So whether it’s through connecting online, sharing ideas, or just showing love and support, it all plays a role in creating opportunities to collaborate.
