Today we’d like to introduce you to JamieTyler Justice.
Hi JamieTyler, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Well, in 2019, I told my parents that I wanted to do “pictures,” and I was already good at taking pictures, so it was easy. Then I learned that it was called modeling, and so I started learning more about modeling and taking professional pictures. In 2020 I started posting videos on TikTok and Instagram, and one night one of my spiderman videos just got a lot of hits! And I love Spider-Man, so I told my mom I wanted to be an action figure hero like Spider-Man, and she said she would help me, but I didn’t know how to do it exactly. So, while my mom was looking into how to make me an action figure, I said, how about a book?
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My name is JamieTyler. I’m a 7-year-old child author, model, and social media personality. I basically started my career as a content creator on social media in “The World of JamieTyler” when I was 4. My first book, “A Hero That Looks Like Me,” was published and just released July 2, 2023. I’m most proud of never giving up on myself. Sometimes I get frustrated because a lot is going on at once, but then my mom says, “Well, we can hang this up if you don’t want to do it anymore,” and then I think about how much I really like making people smile and I have a lot of friends looking up to me so I do my breathing exercises that daddy showed me and then I’m okay.
EVERYTHING about me sets me apart from others! My skin, my hair, my eyes, my brain, my fingers, and my toes, but I still have the same heart inside that everybody else has, and so we really not different, and if we are different, it’s not a bad thing all the time.
My book, “A Hero That Looks Like Me,” is a children’s activity book full of affirmations for boys. I hope it inspires others that they ARE, they CAN, and they WILL be anything they set their mind on.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’m still growing up. I’m only 7. I think I’m funny but shy sometimes, I am kind, and I’m responsible. My mom is always saying “Be responsible,” so I’m a lot of that. I love playing baseball and watching soccer! I really like to draw and create things. I’ve always been an artist.
