Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmin Roberson.
Hi Jasmin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story really begins with my love of travel, fashion, beauty, and experiencing new things. Growing up, I spent part of my childhood in Baltimore, but I also had the opportunity to live in Germany and experience different parts of Europe. Being exposed to different cultures, foods, fashion, and ways of life at such a young age really shaped my sense of curiosity and gave me an adventurous spirit that has stayed with me throughout my life.
Fashion and luxury were also always passions of mine, and professionally, I had the opportunity to work with some incredible brands, including Net-a-Porter, Rent the Runway, and Chanel on the corporate side. Eventually, my career led me into the luxury beauty space with Covet & Mane Hair Extensions. Each of those experiences helped shape my eye for aesthetics, storytelling, customer experience, and what makes a brand or experience feel truly special.
During the pandemic, I relocated to Houston, which became a new chapter for me both personally and creatively. Even before I ever considered myself a content creator, I was always the friend documenting everything—our trips, restaurants, beautiful hotels, outfits, and experiences. I had years of videos and memories sitting in my phone from travels and adventures before the pandemic, and one day I decided to start sharing some of that content on TikTok.
What began as simply sharing places I had already visited and experiences I genuinely enjoyed started gaining traction, and I realized there was an audience that appreciated discovering new places through my perspective. From there, I just kept going. I continued exploring Houston, traveling, trying new restaurants, discovering unique experiences, and bringing my audience along with me.
Today, that same curiosity has evolved into creating food, travel, and lifestyle content. At the heart of everything I do is still the same adventurous spirit I’ve always had—I love discovering beautiful places, having memorable experiences, and sharing them in a way that inspires other people to get out, explore, and experience something new for themselves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest things I’ve learned along the way is that life doesn’t stop happening just because you’re pursuing your goals. There have been seasons where I’ve had to continue showing up, creating, working, and building while also navigating some incredibly difficult moments in my personal life.
One of the hardest was losing my father. Grief changes you, and learning how to move forward while carrying that loss has been a journey of its own.
I also went through a period where my husband and I had to spend an extended amount of time apart due to circumstances outside of our everyday life. Navigating that season required a tremendous amount of patience, faith, resilience, and learning how to keep moving forward even when life didn’t necessarily look the way I wanted it to at the time.
And then, like so many people, there has simply been the challenge of navigating everyday life while trying to figure out what comes next. Balancing my career, relationships, personal responsibilities, and building something of my own hasn’t always been easy.
But I think those experiences have given me a different perspective on success. I’ve learned that sometimes success isn’t about everything going perfectly—it’s about continuing to show up, remaining open to what life is teaching you, and finding moments of joy and purpose even during difficult seasons. In many ways, creating, traveling, and sharing experiences became part of how I continued to find that joy.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My primary role is as the Key Accounts and Partnerships Manager for Covet & Mane, a luxury hair extension company that sells directly to professional stylists. I work closely with some of our top accounts and partners, helping to build relationships, identify opportunities for growth, support education initiatives, and create partnerships that make sense for both the stylist and the brand.
One of the things I really value about working with Covet & Mane is how entrepreneurial the role feels. In many ways, it’s almost like running your own business within a larger company. I’ve learned so much about relationship management, sales, client experience, partnerships, business development, and what it actually takes to grow and maintain a successful brand. It has given me a much deeper understanding of business beyond just the creative side, and those lessons have carried over into everything else I do.
Creatively, I’ve also worked in wardrobe styling, which has allowed me to stay connected to my longtime love of fashion. I’ve had the opportunity to style for film, television, commercials, and other productions. Fashion has always been a huge part of who I am, so styling became another way for me to use my eye for detail, aesthetics, and storytelling.
And then there’s my work as a content creator through Vanity7even. I create food, travel, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and experience-driven content, with a strong focus on discovering places and experiences that people may want to add to their own lives. That can mean highlighting a new restaurant in Houston, showcasing a hotel or travel destination, attending an event, sharing a beauty experience, or partnering with a brand to tell its story in a way that feels authentic to my audience.
Over time, content creation has grown from something I simply enjoyed doing into a real business. I’ve been fortunate to work with recognizable brands across hospitality, food, beauty, fashion, and lifestyle, while continuing to grow a community that trusts my recommendations and enjoys discovering things alongside me.
When I look at everything I do, there’s actually a common thread connecting all of it: relationships, luxury, creativity, storytelling, and experiences. Whether I’m helping grow a partnership at Covet & Mane, styling a wardrobe, or creating content for Vanity7even, I’m ultimately helping people and brands present themselves, connect with an audience, and create an experience that feels memorable.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is sharing experiences with the people I love. I’m someone who truly values creating memories and being present for the moments that we’ll look back on years from now.
Whether it’s traveling somewhere new, trying a restaurant we’ve never been to, celebrating a milestone, or even just spending quality time together, those experiences mean the most to me. I love the idea of collecting memories rather than just things.
I think that’s also a big part of why I naturally gravitated toward travel and lifestyle content. Experiences have always been important to me, and being able to document and share them has given me another way to preserve those memories while hopefully inspiring other people to create meaningful experiences with the people they love, too.
