Check Out Jenelle Foster and Mariah Clark’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenelle Foster and Mariah Clark.

Hi Jenelle and Mariah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Your Favorite Cousins didn’t just happen overnight it grew from something real, something rooted in family, energy, and natural connection.
Back in 2018, at just 17 and 18 years old, we were already stepping into something bigger than we even realized at the time. We were hosting and planning family reunions, bringing people together, making sure everyone felt included, comfortable, and most importantly having a good time. It wasn’t just about organizing events, it was about creating moments people would remember.
As the years went on, that same energy only grew stronger. By 2021, we took on something even bigger planning and hosting our cousin’s wedding. And that’s when everything really clicked. The reaction from everyone was the same: wow, you all did amazing. People kept telling us this wasn’t just something we were good at… it was something we were meant to do. They saw something in us that we were still trying to fully understand ourselves.
Everywhere we went, whether it was parties, social events, or crowded spaces, people were naturally drawn to us Jenelle and Mariah. Our energy is vibrant, electric, and welcoming. We know how to read a room, lift a vibe, and make people feel like they belong. But for a while, we couldn’t quite put our finger on what that actually meant for us.
Then one day, it all made sense.
We realized there was a real need especially at social events, concerts, and large gatherings for people like us. People who don’t just show up, but who actively create the experience. People who make sure others are engaged, enjoying themselves, and feeling the energy of the moment.
And just like that… Your Favorite Cousins was born.
It’s more than a name. It’s who we are. It’s the feeling we bring into every space. It’s about turning ordinary events into unforgettable experiences and making sure no one feels left out. We don’t just attend events we elevate them.
This is only the beginning.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but that’s part of the process.

The entertainment side has always come naturally to us and that has never been the issue. What we had to learn was everything behind the scenes. Really putting ourselves out there, staying consistent, and understanding the business side of things.

Figuring out branding, making the right connections, and even realizing how important it is to have a manager and a solid team has all been a learning experience.

It hasn’t been easy, but it’s definitely been worth it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re Your Favorite Cousins, a live crowd engagement brand focused on the energy in the room at events and concerts.

We show up to help keep the crowd engaged, fill the in between moments, and make sure the energy doesn’t dip. We support artists so they’re not carrying the entire crowd on their own, we help event organizers keep things flowing, and we make sure the audience actually feels part of the experience.

What we’re most proud of is that this started from us just being ourselves in rooms and noticing how much of a difference energy makes when someone knows how to move a crowd.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes us happy is our family. That’s where everything started and that’s what we’re rooted in. So being able to take what comes natural to us and turn it into something we’re passionate about is what really makes it worth it. It feels like we’re building on something that was already in us from the beginning.
