Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Jimenez.
Hi Jennifer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a first-generation daughter of two immigrants, the pressure to be successful has always been intense and after becoming a mother at 19 and wanting to provide for my growing family I chose to be a hair artist. I started my amazing career in 2016 and love every second of it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a hair stylist and working towards being a successful hair stylist has been difficult. This industry is full of talented people and standing out has been challenging.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hairstylist. I specialize in lived in – dimensional hair that is tailored to my client’s lifestyles. I have also started taking an interest in hair extensions and hope to integrate that into my specialization. I think I’m mostly known for being able to service clients with thick dark hair and providing them with styles that other stylists might get overwhelmed creating. I’m pretty proud of finding my niche in this field. In the beginning, you get introduced to so many things it’s hard to even know where to start, what to do, who to follow. Thankfully I’ve met some really great people along the way have inspired me to find what feels right to me.
