Check Out Julian Gueringer’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julian Gueringer.

Hi Julian, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story is detailed, but I’ll keep It brief. Navigating between my hometown Pontiac, MI and Houston, TX I’ve learned a lot. Dreams of being a music artist since the 5th grade I always wanted my own clothing line and to get fresh so I did. Taking rap seriously around 2012 I ended up releasing Merch. The merch would always sale out so once I slowed down in music I picked up in clothing around 2019. Creating the Brand Chiefy Tribe. Representing leaders growing together. Over the last couple of years the brand had grown from drawn on a napkin to shirts, hoodies, bodysuits, sneakers, & more.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road is never smooth, but as long as It’s a road that’s all I need. Dodging potholes and speed bumps to the road to success creates character and “drive” (that’s a bar). Some of the struggles I’ve taken along the way are losing big packages in the mail. Getting large defective shipments and the vendor disappearing. Trying to figure out how to generate during a slow month. There’s more but that’s what we’re going to see as business owners.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Doing many things in the business world such as music artist, coaching mortgage brokers, real estate, selling hair, and more. My main focus is clothing. The transition from rap to clothes was an easy one. I can still be creative, Get people fresh, and survive off my talents. I love seeing people wearing my clothes for their bday fit, going out for fun, or a simple day to day fit. The thing that sets me apart is that it’s in me not on me. I didn’t have to make this guy up or adjust. It’s really just me. Some people hate It and others love It. Me being myself is the special thing.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
First I’ll say what I like least about the city is a fan favorite of dislikes and that’s the traffic. If you’ve driven in Houston you understand.

What I like best about the city is the vibe. I’m talking about that stepping outside and embracing Houston. It’s almost like the climax scene of a movie when everything comes together. I was 16 when I moved to Houston. Young Berg (Hit Maka) and Ray J “Sexy Can I” was playing on the radio. My Ma was driving down the highway smiling and I’m like Houston is It.
