Today we’d like to introduce you to Latasha Howard-Hinton.
Hi Latasha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In April 2017, I was forced to go on medical leave due to some mental health issues that arose from a series of back-to-back tragedies that took place in my life. During that time, I endured two minor walking strokes that the doctor said would affect my ability to work or do the things I was once able to in the past.
Months after that doctor’s visit, I went into a significant depression that not only affected me but most importantly, my family. It was then that I made a vow to myself to overcome this battle no matter what it took, and from that day forward, I started therapy, journaling, and focusing more on my inner being so that I could be a better version of myself for me, but also for those connected to me.
Over time I started to learn a lot about myself and revisit the person I once was in my younger years. Immediately a fire started burning inside me, and I made the spontaneous decision with the help and support of my loving wife and kids to never return to the corporate world. And in October 2017, we opened our first business H & H Prosperous Services. It started as a multi-service center that soon became independent contracting for various companies.
Sadly and unexpectedly, in 2020, the pandemic took place and displaced plenty of working individuals and affected families worldwide. Then boom! Being the optimistic woman that I am, I began to pray for a way that’ll help rebuild the community and the people in it. So many business ideas were being created, and people worldwide started to open their own companies, which was the best move one could make, especially during that time.
Three months after the pandemic, a light bulb went off in my head to start a printing business to offer affordable and swift services, some including same-day turnarounds. To this day, I must say this was one of the best visions God could’ve given me. I’ve had the pleasure of helping various business owners brand, build, and execute their businesses, which have become very successful, such as: ” Sugar Rush Too, Dem Rolls, BP Charities & Non-profit, Extendo Lashes, and many many more.
Most importantly, my clients have become not only loyal customers but amazing friends as well. Printer Junkies, LLC offers more than just printing. We assist in helping our customers find their niche in life and provide them with the necessary steps and support along the way, followed by marketing their businesses.
This journey alone has been one that came with several challenges. The graveled road played a major part in my growth, and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world, because I’ve met some amazing people, including myself along the way. It was an awakening when I found the new me through all the distractions of life and the pandemic. In that mental trauma, the gifts and talents that hid under all my layers were discovered, leading me to my next adventure, ” Sh’Entrepreneur Goddess, ” where women empowerment is birthed and nurtured.
Since starting Sh’Entrepreneur Goddess, I have connected with some of the most amazing women who look and sound like me. So many have faced mental health challenges, all while aspiring to put themselves in the driver’s seat of entrepreneurship. While each woman’s story and journey is different, the goal and focus to the finish line at the end is consistent amongst us all: Success and legacy building.
My continued goal is to help small businesses flourish and support their brand by ensuring that the quality of my printing services is something that will aid in their business platform and marketing strategies. As for Sh’Entrepreneur Goddess, we, as women, evolve every day and need to surround ourselves with women who can relate and speak to the same losses and wins many of us have faced over the years.
Being a woman is a beautiful thing. It’s a caterpillar blossoming into a butterfly with outstretched wings. Once a woman is out of her shell, the true her, the her that she was always meant to be, presents itself. And we must surround ourselves with people who can see it as much as we can. Therefore, Sh’Entrepreneur Goddess will always be ground zero for women who seek to be empowered and motivated into the best version of themselves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh no, most definitely NOT! There have been many times I wanted to give up but my heart wouldn’t allow me to no matter how hard I tried. Building a brand takes work, accountability, time, sacrifice, and everything won’t always work out the way you envision it to. There are bad and good days, slow days, and even days where you may need a mental break but activated faith leads you to places of the unknown. STAY THE COURSE!

What separates you from others?
One could argue that there are no significant differences between oneself and others as we all have innate God-given talents and abilities to navigate the unexpected challenges of life and discover our unique calling. Therefore, it is our personal experiences and the lessons we learn from them that distinguish us from others.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Having an open mind and the ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life is a valuable trait that can lead to opportunities for growth and advancement. It is essential to maintain an open-minded approach to interacting with others, as one never knows who or what may present itself as a chance for progression.
Furthermore, being receptive to constructive criticism and learning from those who possess knowledge or expertise in areas where one may lack can prove to be a catalyst for personal and professional development. By embracing constructive feedback and learning opportunities, individuals can expand their skill set and become more aware of areas where improvements can be made.
