Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Elizabeth
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since I was a teenager the idea of working and making an impact in the beauty industry has been a dream of mine. After doing charity work with Operation Beautiful where we would visit women’s shelters and do their makeup I grew a strong passion for doing makeup on other people, but it would be a few years before I made the leap of becoming a makeup artist and launching my own business.
I spent a good portion of my time as a beauty and fashion content creator working with many major brands and that kept me very busy. Being your own sales and management department on top of being a full-time university student and working at Ulta as a Prestige Beauty Consultant was very tough and it left me with very little free time.
While many opportunities came from that chapter in my life little did I know a new beginning was brewing once I signed onto my talent agency Social Cafe Agency. Being able to have their help and connections lifted a huge load off my shoulders and gave me more creative freedom and this led to me launching my MUA business which I named Revenge Artistry, curated to make women feel beautiful in their skin.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path to doing something impactful is never smooth or a straight line. While being a content creator in the beauty space is not easy. Having to now focus on other people added a new level of complexity. Understanding different skin types, tones, and how products interact with one another. Takes a lot of patience, after all, I am being a part of someone’s big day whether it is their wedding, engagement, or just a night out. I take a lot of pride in ensuring all my clients look incredible and their skin stays healthy. You should never compromise your health to look good.
Some of the struggles are not what most people would think, while I have a relatively large social media following this does not translate to immediate sales and it also does not always reflect the skills, professionalism, and knowledge of a make-up artist. I am still constantly having to prove myself to clients from all walks of life and with different tastes and preferences. I am forced to evolve as a makeup artist and beauty enthusiast. I have learned to really appreciate the simplicity of certain makeup looks and styles.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a make-up artist based out of The Woodlands, Texas. I specialize in Soft Glams and Bridal Glams and I love to explore Editorial Glams. I am known for being Laurensrevenge on all social media platforms focusing on lifestyle, fashion, and makeup artistry content. I am the most proud of the support I have around me I do not think I would have made the jump without the push of my inner circle. What I think sets me apart from others is that people can get an accurate representation of my personality by viewing my content and interacting with me online across my platforms. I do put myself out there a lot and while it can be hard at times, meeting wonderful people more than makes up for it.

On top of my makeup services, I do also offer 1-on-1s where we can cover makeup techniques or social media strategies to improve your presence and build a strong brand.
