Today we’d like to introduce you to Liliane Abi Najm
Hi Liliane, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! I’m Liliane, founder of Blossom Bloom & Beyond by Liliane photography. A proud mom of three wonderful kids. I am a former registered nurse who used to work in the Intensive Care Unit for cardiac surgery. I never imagined that one day I would become a photographer. Photography was merely a hobby, something I enjoyed on the side.
Everything changed when I had my twin boys, I dedicated my time to them along with my eldest daughter. By then I was living as an expat in Saudi Arabia, When the twins went to school, I decided to pursue my passion for photography and started learning the basics in 2019. When the world shuts down in 2020, I have seen it as an opportunity to dive deeper into my passion. I enrolled in online classes and watched countless tutorials to enhance my skills and knowledge in photography with leading Photographer from around the world. After the pandemic is over I took part in a photography masterclass and attended workshops to further develop my expertise.
This commitment transformed me into the photographer I am today as well as the support of my husband and kids. My kids were my inspiration, pushing me more to explore and capture the beauty of moments. I opened an Instagram page during the pandemic, and people started to appreciate my work and asked me to photograph their children.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Balancing family life with business has always been a challenge, but moving to Houston recently took it to a whole new level. It wasn’t just a change of location, it was a complete professional reset. Everything I had built in my previous city suddenly felt out of reach, as though I had to start from scratch.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a fine art photographer, specialized in shooting newborn, maternity, children, and family portraits. I love capturing the beautiful moments that tell each family’s unique story. Whether it’s the glow of pregnancy, the tender moments of a newborn, the emotion of children or the bond between a mother and her kids. My interest in styling and fashion has always inspired me and helped me in creativity and influenced the way I approach my work today. My goal is to craft timeless pieces that families can hang on the wall and cherish forever.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Spending time with my family during the holidays, going to the mountains during summer, baking with my grandmother, are some of my most cherished experiences. Those moments of preparing dough together, sharing stories and creating delicious treats, remain my most treasured childhood memories. Also, playing outdoor games with my cousins in the nature, collecting fruits and vegetables from the garden, and exploring new places were unforgettable adventures.
