Check Out Marcela De La Paz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcela De La Paz

Hi Marcela, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
From an 4 year old being forced to steal , to a 6 year old in a nun orphanage to being a 31 year old in Miami living one of my dreams I am just so grateful… my biological mother left Colombia when I was 4 and my brother 1 and she left us with an aunt that was just pure cruel.. she forced me to steal for her kids and didn’t care to fed us… I remember so many Christmases and birthdays by myself and thinking I dont understand why would God bring someone to the world just to suffer but then there was an angel Eva Ortiz not being my blood she decides to be part of my life… she knew my mom and she decided to help.. La Mami how everyone called her despite her being told not to keep me, tried and did everything in her power to give me a better life. She used to crochet dolls for me because she couldn’t afford to buy me one… she used to take me from the orphanage weekends and sometimes even longer periods. I remember most of my suffering was when she had to come to the US to visit her own family… those times were rough. La mami passed away when I was 17 and every year I wish she was here so I can return a little bit of everything she ever gave me…. Then there was Vanessa Byrd the mother God gave me… she has been my mother and my kids nana since I was 20 and she will forever be that! I am so grateful today for everything I have… i recently started seeking true love in the tv show “Enamorándonos “ in Unimas and I feel soo blessed… I will soon be going to audition for “Nuestra Belleza Latina” and I cannot wait to tell you all where that takes me…. As a model & Actress I am ready to show my talent to the world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The year of 2023 was rough, I had a tough pregnancy and little to no support which ended with me getting a divorce. I believe God held my hand so tight because without him I wouldn’t have survived.. my daughter was born with Symbrachydactyly which is a condition where she only has 2 fingers in her left hand but now i understand why God pick me to be her mom… can’t wait to teach her that she’s perfect and to love herself and everything I had to learn alone.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an actress and model with a Human Resources profession.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I remember opening a magazine one birthday and cutting a computer, a cake and thing bed and saying “I have the perfect birthday… I have my nice bed, my cake and my computer so I can work “ God has materialized my dreams and has blessed me with sooo much more!
