Check Out Maritza Kirby’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maritza Kirby.

Hi Maritza, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My career goal was to be a teacher, towards the end of my schooling I had a change of heart. I always have worked in the beauty industry salons where I managed and assisted stylist in day to day salon management responsibilities. I knew I really didn’t want to specialize in hair I wanted something different to make a change for individuals appearances. That’s when I decided on Esthetics. I started my journey in 2017 completed my education in record time and in 2018 started my own mini spa. Which I loved! I loved the freedom, the beauty life and so much more. There were times where things were frustrating but nevertheless I love what I do. The ability to help others transform themselves is amazing and rewarding.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been always smooth, the toughest thing I have found is getting people to trust on the process of your skins transformation. To get clients to come in through your door the hustle is real and at times overwhelming

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My mini spa specializes in facials for the most part, brow waxing and much more. All my facials are customized to the fullest for each and every individual client. No 2 facials are the same. Every individual has different skin and issues that need to be addressed therefore all facials are a cocktail

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
No matter what the struggle is it can be changed for the better
