Check Out Mia Gamble’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Gamble.

Mia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Have you ever had a family member that you can always go to, to do a simple hairstyle? Well, that was me I was that go-to girl. I didn’t take hair seriously at all. I didn’t think it was a real career or it could take me to different level’s. In 2011 I went to cosmetology school in the middle of my course I found out I was pregnant with my baby girl. I quit school thinking I needed a regular 9-5 to provide for my daughter I was wrong. After working job after job. It wasn’t making me happy I decided to go back to cosmetology school in 2013. I finally graduated cosmetology school. Guess what I didn’t have a passion for hair anymore so I was back to a regular 9-5. HATED IT ! In 2015, I started working as an assistant for other hairstylists. Wasn’t a bad job I loved helping other businesses flow smoothly until I realized I am not an assistant, I am a hairstylist. This is my talent, my passion, my first love. I finally got my spark back. 2019 I decided to become CEO of Gambino Galore, “ The Galore Way” business was BOOMING OK! 2020 I moved to a little town (Champaign, IL) some ways from my hometown ( Chicago, IL). The support from the people in Champaign, IL was amazing I gained the best loyal clients. Now I am here and new to the Houston scene and ready to share my talent.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Moving to a new state is challenging for a business when you know no one.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a hairstylist that specializes in wig making and installing lace. I am known for my flawless lace install. I am most proud of taking a big step in moving my business to another state. What set me apart from others is even though I install hair I still protect my clients’ real hair underneath.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like best about Houston is that it is always something to do here like my hometown. What I dislike about it is the schooling system.
