Mileydi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am Mileydi Goncalves, they call me Mily since I was a child, Venezuelan journalist, model, and artist, but above all a human being under the grace and will of God, dreamer, passionate, super sentimental and mellow, creative, genuine, fighter, persevering, optimistic when maximum and with much love in every breath of my life. I love chocolate, coffee, wine, fruits, food in general. I love nature, the beach, singing, dancing, exercising, art, I am very versatile. Since I was seven years old venturing into many areas that I love singing, dancing, music and acting. I was Queen of ESCUBAFAN, I worked as a journalist for institutions such as the Symphony Orchestra system, the house of culture, media such as TVS, RCTV and Venevisión as an actress and model as well.
Since I moved to the United States, in addition to forming my family as I dreamed and becoming a full-time mother of my two princesses, I continued working on my social networks, which I manage since its inception as Instagram about 12 years ago and I do consulting or network management. social networks for those interested in the area… Through social networks such as Instagram, which in the last five years has been widely used as a means of communication and digital advertising, I have developed with networking, marketing, creating content and as a model for campaigns of small, medium and large companies or brands. I have also dedicated myself to supporting talent and entrepreneurship through my social media community and currently, I also work for the digital magazine Houston Social as Editorial Director. I have many projects, dreams and goals on a personal and professional level present and as a guide, trusting and believing in God’s perfect timing that certainly does not fail and working for them with great harmony, love, peace, good vibes and one day the time so that the universe conspires in favor and everything always flows.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been easy all the way because nothing is perfect only God. Leaving my country of origin and starting from scratch, it is always difficult to leave everything, especially family, friends, all loved ones, one of the things that has hurt a lot and was very difficult when my only brother died and I couldn’t go to seeing him for the last time, it was very hard. Also, being away from my family, alone with my husband and seven months pregnant with my first daughter, we were victims of Hurricane Harvey, it was not easy either, but thank God nothing happened to us and we had a lot of support here from very good friends. That today are as I say: “Family of life”.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am proud of what I have overcome on this path, especially after leaving my country and starting to build from scratch, overcoming many fears and insecurities, of my achievements and growth as a person and professionally. I think what sets me apart from others is my extreme human sensitivity and how extremely multifaceted.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I have many, I can’t define just one, but among so many, I played with my brother on TV shows where sometimes I presented myself as a singer and sang, imitating artists I listened to, other times playing with beauty pageants where he named me Miss Universe as an announcer hahaha I loved those events. Also, the times we went as a family to the beaches of my state where I was born Aragua and along the way we were always singing and laughing.
